教学目标 知识目标:
1、学习重点词汇及短语: sing , swim , guitar, drum, chess, join, draw, dance, speak, can’t=can not, play the guitar, play the drum ,join the swimming club. 2、掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。 能力目标:
1、通过谈论特长与爱好,使学生建立自信并培养一种群体意识。 2、学会在新的语境中运用新学的语言知识。 情感态度:
通过实践让学生体验学习英语的乐趣,并能勇于展示自己的才能。通过小组活动谈论彼此的特长与爱好，使学生能够在活动中积极与他人交流，互相学习，互相帮助，培养团队精神。 2学情分析
七年级的学生正处于英语学习兴趣培养和学习习惯养成阶段，他们喜欢寓教于乐，快乐中无意识的记住课时重难点，而不希望教师填鸭式的讲解语法与句型，教师一旦激发了他们的学习兴趣，走进他们的生活，他们就能进入最佳学习状态，掌握知识，运用策略，形成技能，养成良好的人生观和价值观。本单元的主题是运用情态动词can谈论能力,通过对目标语言的学习使学生能够表达自己在某一方面所具备的才能;通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识，学生对于助动词和be动词引导的一般疑问句已经能够熟练应用，所以对于can引导的一般疑问句及其回答能够很容易理解和接受，但是他们注意力比较容易分散，这就需要老师设置新颖多样的课堂活动来吸引学生的注意力。 3重点难点
(一)教学重点(Teaching important points)
1、熟练拼写和运用guitar, chess, join, draw, dance, speak, swim, sing, can’t=can not
2、掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。 (二)教学难点(Teaching difficult points) 1、使用情态动词can表示能力。
2、把情态动词can有机融入情景教学中。 4教学过程
4.1 第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step 1. Warming－up
Greet the students as usual and ask several students if they like dancing ,singing , or speaking English .They may answer “Yes ,we do or No , we don’t.” (设计意图:鼓励学生谈论兴趣爱好,为接下来的谈论自己的能力奠定基础。) 活动2【活动】 Step 2 lead-in play a guessing game.
Stand up and answer questions with “Yes , I can .”And then let the students ask the teacher any question with “Can you ...?”The teacher answers . Then teach them the pattern: Can you play soccer? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. (设计意图:通过对老师能力的猜测与询问，能够激发学生的兴趣和英语思维，简捷有效的导入新课。先听说，再模仿，然后固化，自然习得新的句型，体现学习过程是学生自我构建、自我生产，知识由内而外的生长，而不是由外而内的灌输。)
活动3【讲授】Step 3. Presentation
Ask students what they can do ,lead the students to learn the new words and phrases such as “ play the drum, play the guitar, sing, dance, draw, speak English.” Play a guessing game to review the phrases and finish 1a. 通过询问能力,引导他们掌握本节课的重点词汇。
(设计意图是:引导学生在情境中理解记忆,可以让学习更加愉悦和高效。在单词讲解中调动学生的多种感官。以便学生能够通过图片及教师的动作,语音语调来理解记忆。在完成学习目标的同时,活跃了课堂气氛提高了课堂效率,巩固本课重点。) 活动4【活动】Step 4.listening Listen to the tape and finish 1b. 听力训练,检测刚学的内容。
活动5【活动】Step 5. Show yourself
Show some pictures to them and ask them to do pairwork. The students talk about their abilities, eg. A: Can you sing？ B:No, I can’t. A:What can you do ?B: I can „ ,but I can’t „ well.
运用所学句型互相询问对方会做的事及不会做的事,展示自己, 增进同学之间的了解。同时意识到自己的不足。
(设计意图:使学生积极主动投入到学习语言的实践中去，在实践中提高语言的综合运用能力，加深对所学知识的分析和记忆，同时也为介绍What club do you want to join ? I want to join the ... club.做铺垫)
活动6【活动】Step 6. Let’s chant and do the chain work
Show some clubs to them, and lead them to talk about the club they want to join . The students read the content with music ,pay attention to the rhythm .
(设计意图:根据七年级学生心里及年龄特点，吸引他们的兴趣，使之身心放松，在快乐愉悦的氛围中掌握知识，同时也激起他们对英语学习的热爱。) 活动7【活动】Step 7. Listening
Play the recording for the students to listen and find out the answers. Ask them to circle the clubs and complete the sentences. Let them catch the key words . After listening, check the answers with the whole class. (设计意图:培养学生听说能力，先输入后输出，启发思维，让学生探索，在探索中发现规律，解答问题。)
活动8【活动】Step 8. Club interview
I know there are four clubs in our class. First ,I will choose four club leaders . Other students can join the club according to your abilities and your interests . Name : Talent :

What can you do ? Then club leaders give a report .
(设计意图: 让学生练习运用所学目标语言参加实践活动,更好的对学生进行动口、动脑、用心的训练，由课本知识向实际生活延伸，进一步鼓励学生发挥主观能动性，体现语言的实用原则，做语言的主人，达到学有所用的目的，同时通过小组活动，多角度培养学生听说读写的能力以及学生合作探究、收集和整理信息的能力。)
活动9【活动及练习】Step 9. Enjoy the video and do exercises
(设计意图:通过视频及其相应的练习， 使学生巩固所学知识，更是对学生进行德育渗透，使学生明白成功并不取决于你是谁，而取决于你做什么，取决于顽强的意志力。引导学生掌握谚语：有志者事竟成。) Step 10. Summary. In this class, we have learnt how to use “can” and how to make questions with “can” and how to answer the questions. And we have talked about what we can do and what club we want to join. In this class, we are very happy . Step 11. Homework
Write something about your family members what they can do and they can’t do
