教学目标
1、知识目标:
(1)使学生能正确认读单词: blind, deaf, hear, a lot, useful, fire, firefighter
(2)使学生能灵活运用句型:He/She/ can/can’t… 以及Can we have a dog?---- No ,we can’t . / Yes ,we can .
2、能力目标:
使学生能正确运用can和can’t表达人们能做和不能做的事情。
3、情感目标:
使学生认识到保护动物重要性。培养学生互相关心、互相帮助良好品质。
2学情分析
本节课是新标准英语五年级上册Module7unit1He can`t see.本单元主要是继续学习情态动词can.以及用can`t 谈论能力的不足。五年级学生基础较好。他们已掌握了一定的语音、词汇、语法、话题表达等英语基础知识,具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力,形成了一定的综合语言运用能力。因此,教学中,应从学生已有的知识、能力、经验和兴趣出发,根据教学内容,采用灵活的教学方法,精心设计有一定挑战性的教学活动,促使学生在参与、实践、体验、合作与交流活动中学习、运用并掌握知识,进一步发展综合语言运用能力,稳定英语学习兴趣。

4.1第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step 1: Warming up (课前热身)
1.Greeting.
2.全体学生起立,边做动作边说关于can的chant. (设计意图:学生共同参与复习chant,让学生在轻松的环境中复习旧知,引新知。从而为第二个环节做铺垫。)
I can run, run, run, run.
I can walk, walk, walk, walk.
I can swim, swim, swim, swim.
I can see, see, see, see.
活动2【导入】Step 2:Review
Ask & answer:
T: What can they do? (PPT图片)(设计意图:用多种动物会的技能让学生初步感知新词汇a lot)
Ss: …
T: How about dogs? Let’s see together. (课本38页活动1的Chant.)
(1)Listen and look.(师生观看光盘动画)
T:What do the dogs like?
Ss:They are clever,cute,useful,cool.
T:They can do a lot.(用单词卡片教授新单词a lot)And they’re very useful.(教授新单词useful)
(2)Listen and chant. (课本38页)(再次播放光盘视频,师生同唱。)
T:Do you like dogs? Let’s learn more about the dogs. lf you do a good job, l will give these to you.(展示英语小贴纸)
(设计意图:在有了前面的层层铺垫,学生通过chant,猜测游戏,视频观看以及新课文的chant的参与学习,充分调动了学生的积极性和浓厚的学习兴趣,再展示了英语小贴纸后,更能激发学生后面的学习动力。)
活动3【讲授】Step 3:Text learning
1. T: First, look and listen,then answer..(播放视频光盘)(设计意图:听课文,整体感知课文,同时借助图片和单词卡片加深理解。)

(用PPT图片教授新单词a TV show,presenter)
T: Q: What does the presenter say?
Ss: Dogs are very useful.
2. T: listen again and answer my question: Why are they useful?
(打开书39页,拿出笔,边听边划出答案。)
(设计意图:学生通过探究与自悟,交流与合作等学习方式,再次的理解课文语境。学习本单元的目标语句。)
(1)教师拿出第一幅挂图,问:Why are they useful? 引导学生说。This man is blind. He can`t see. This dog helps him.并教授新单词blind.(课件出示单词。渗透语音教学,ind, find, kind, blind).并板书句型He is blind. He can`t see.
(2)老师再拿出挂图,问:Why are they useful? 引导学生说。This girl is deaf. She can`t hear. This dog helps her.教师通过拍掌大小声问学生,Can you hear?拍掌声音从听不到到听得到。
T:Just now ,you used your ears to hear.(课件出示ear---hear的变化.)(设计意图:让学生结合前后语境,培养学生用英语思维的能力,并从单词的音,义,形入手,通过以旧词带新词的方式,让学生自己感知,体会,总结发音规律,形成学习策略。)
T:(老师在播放一个门铃的声音)Listen, can you hear?
Yes, you can hear. But this girl can`t hear. Because she is deaf.(用单词卡片教授新单词deaf)请个别学生描述图片2,教师板书句型She is deaf, she can`t hear.
(3)教师拿出挂图3,再问Why are they useful?(同桌讨论一下。)教授新单词fire ,firefighter(s).请学生读此段。
T: Dogs are very useful. Can we have the dogs?
Ss: Yes, we can.
T: What does Sam ask? Ss: Can we have a dog, Mum? (板书句型)
T: What does Ms Smart answer?
Ss: No, we can`t. I’m sorry.(板书句型)
T: It`s a pity. We can`t. Here is your dinner, hot dogs.(设计意图:教师通过这种对话的方式让学生轻松的感知课文内容,又对本节课的重点句型进行了润物细无声的练习。)
T:Is it a dog? It`s a hot dog(教授新单词hot dog.课件出示图片)
T: Can we have hot dogs?
Ss: Yes, we can.
T: What are they?
They are bread and sausages.(教授新单词sausage)
T: It`s delicious. But now we should have our class.
3. T: listen, read the text.(跟读,自己读,集体展示,分角色5人Amy, Lingling, presenter, Sam, Ms Smart)
(设计意图:通过组织多种形式的阅读方式,鼓励学生通过观察,模仿,体验,探究,展示等方式学习和运用英语,引导他们学会自主学习和合作学习。有利于逐步提高学生的基本语言素养和基本外语学习能力,并形成有效的学习策略。)
活动4【练习】Step4:巩固练习

教师打开PPT图片,完成看图填空练习。(设计意图:通过练习,学生能更好的巩固课文。)
