教学目标
通过卡片游戏,学生能够用英文解释本单元学过的表示人物性格的单词。
通过预测、带问题阅读、查找信息、讨论交流等方式,学生能够理解故事大意及细节信息。
在理解故事的基础上,学生能够具体介绍故事中某个人物性格及原因。
2新设计
通过不同思维层次的提问设计,引导学生理解故事大意并学会人物性格分析。
3学情分析
经前测调查,本班五年级学生都没有野外露营的经历,但是通过其它渠道对露营都有一些了解,对于这一内容的故事学习还是第一次接触,具有一定的好奇心和学习欲望。关于人物性格的用语及表达学生已经在本单元前几课时学过,学生已经能够就熟悉的人物谈论其性格,并能够和人物所做的事情做简单关联。
4重点难点
教学重点:理解故事大意。
教学难点:对故事中人物性格的分析及概括。

5.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Warming-up
1.Guessing game:
Show Ss the words about personalities.
Give some riddles about personalities. Ss read and guess.
学生读句猜谜→个别生给出谜语、其余学生猜词
2.Free-talk
Who is … in our class? You have different personalities.
You have known each other very well, because you often do many things together. I often go to the park with my classmates. What do you often do together?
Do you often go camping with your classmates? (pic)
【设计意图】利用卡片游戏,通过学生解释与猜测活动复习本单元表示性格的核心词汇,夯实单词的意义理解,激活学生的知识储备。由谈论同学性格、活动自然导入野营话题,为进入故事学习做好铺垫。
活动2【讲授】Before-reading
1. Show the main pic:
Today, we will meet a new friend. This is a boy. He goes camping with his classmates and teacher. Look, here they are!
2. Read a passage and try to know them
What’s the boy’s name? What’s their teacher’s name? (齐读第一段)
Who is Phil in the photo? Why? (discuss)
找到关键句读一读,个别生找出主人公
【设计意图】通过谈论主题图,了解故事人物及发生的背景,通过集体读语段找到人物姓名,并通过找读关键句确定主人公。
活动3【讲授】While-reading
1. Present the whole story:
·What do they do at camp? Try to guess.
·Watch the video and find out the activities
Ss: eat dinner, go fishing, have a party, go to sleep…
【设计意图】通过视听,学生整体学习故事,找到故事中人物的主要活动,了解故事梗概。
2. Read picture 2 of the story: T-Ss
Who’s that girl? What are they doing? What’s Jill doing? Do you think fishing is very easy? Can Phil catch the fish?
What is she like?
贴板书:Jill teaching me how to fish clever(helpful)
【设计意图】师生共读第二幅图,学习如何把握关键信息,如圈画人物姓名及所做的事情,为学生自主学习做示范。
3. Read the rest pictures of the story: P3-8
1) Circle other children’s names and underline the things they do by themselves.
a. Who are Phil’s classmates?
b. What do they do?
2) Check the answer in pairs:
3) Let Ss give the answer on the Bb.

穿插提问:
Pic 3: What does Jack do? How does Mary feel? Is it a real snake? Is it dangerous? (理解词汇play a trick:) What’s Jack like?

4. Listen to the tape and read the whole story

【设计意图】通过听读故事,以原声录音来纠正发音。自读整个故事,进一步熟练故事。
活动4【活动】Post-reading
1. Set the task: Choose one person of the photo and talk about her or him to others. Work in groups.
2. Present a model.
3. Group show: 每人介绍一个人物
【设计意图】通过自主选择故事人物进行谈论的环节,巩固和内化故事,由书面文字转化为学生理解后的整体语言输出。
活动5【活动】Summary
Look at the blackboard and recall the story.
活动6【作业】Homework
1. Listen and read the story twice.
2. Write two passages about two of your classmates.
【设计意图】通过听读故事,巩固所学内容;写关于自己两位同学的小语段,由故事延伸到对自己同学的描述,活化语言。
