【教学内容】
译林版小学英语(三年级起点)六年级上册 Unit1 The king’s new clothes (Story time)
【教材解读】
本课时主要学习内容Story time是安徒生经典童话《皇帝的新装》的英文简化版本。通过故事的学习,可以进一步培养学生学习和阅读的兴趣,促进综合语言运用能力的提升。
【学情分析】
安徒生经典童话《皇帝的新装》是学生在幼儿园时期甚至更早就已经读过的一则童话故事,因此在内容层面上,学生对整个故事有了一定的了解。本课难就难在在陈述故事的过程中,文本中出现了大量的动词过去式,且有规则的和不规则的之分,另外,动词的过去式的发音规则也是本课的难点。因此,对于从未接触过动词过去式的学生来说,语法知识的学习是本课最难的一块。需要老师细心、耐力地引导学生学习。
【教学重点】
1. 故事内容的理解。
2. 掌握规则动词过去式的变化方式及其ed发音。
3. 掌握过去式句型的正确运用。
4. 阅读策略的学习。
5. 在了解故事的基础上,复述故事,并完成相应的练习。
【教学难点】
1. 故事中大量过去式的理解和运用。
2. 学生在了解故事的基础上,复述故事。
3. 词汇方面:对动词过去式的理解,记忆,以及规则动词过去式ed的发音
4. 对过去时这一时态的理解,即对过去时句式的理解和掌握
【学习目标】
A. 知识目标:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说: king, clothes, was, were, magic, clever, foolish, walk through, people, shout, beautiful, wear, point at, laugh.
2.掌握过去式的构成:(1)be动词 was, were; (2)规则动词liked, visited, showed, walked, looked, shouted, pointed, laughed
3.掌握句型:(1)Long long ago, there was... (2) There were a lot of ... (3)过去时态的句子 (4)能听懂、会读、会说Clever people can see the clothes. Foolish people can’t see them. The king isn’t wearing any clothes.
B. 能力目标:
1.能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述对话。
2.能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论自己对所学故事的看法。
C. 情感目标:
1.能使学生认识到在生活中要敢于说真话,不虚伪。

【教学过程】
Step 1. Pre-reading.
1、Free talk.
What day is it today? How’s the weather today?(教天气cloudy,cool, hot等词)
What are you wearing today?(教wear,wearing)I feel a little bit hot, so I’m wearing a T-shirt today. I know some of you like new and pretty clothes. Right? Now I’ll show you a story about a king who liked new clothes very much. (Show the king on the blackboard.)
2、 放视频,问:Was the king clever or foolish? PPT打出句子,标示中文“聪明”和“愚蠢”,教读两个新词。(目的,初步感知故事)
Step 2. While-reading.
1、After watching, we know the story is about the king and the king’s new clothes. (Show the title: The king’s new clothes.练读标题)
2、We all know this story, because this is an old story. It happened long long ago. (PPT: ‘long long ago’, 标中文,很久很久以前。)
3、Now let’s listen to an easier one and try to fill in the blanks. 中文解释下要求:看逆读填空,听录音,填空。
4、听过之后,一句句核对答案(暂时不解释过去式),PPT上文章打出来。
5、问题:Some words are very special. Did you find them?让学生自己在文中划出并说出文中的规则动词过去式,然后PPT上列出来:(师在黑板上按照一定的顺序将关键的动词过去式板书)

提醒这两个特殊的
is was
are were
解释一般现在时的概念,动词的变化规则。(目的:了解规则动词过去式的变化方式)
6、问题:它们都是加ed,那读音是不是相同呢?听第二遍课文,找答案
PPT归类讲ed发音。听完之后,师再带领学生,触摸喉部跟读这些过去式,再让学生感知清辅音结尾的单词与浊辅音和元音结尾的单词的过去式的读法,归类(这个环节目标是讲发音)
7、You are very clever.这么快就把这么难的新知识点掌握了,这样我们就能自己来读整个故事了。
学生快速自读课文并完成相关联系,核对填空答案。(暂时不讲中文,仅跟读)
读后选择题:

3. Clever people ( ) see the clothes. Foolish people ( ) see them. (clever和foolish再次教授)

(这个环节希望学生根据文本自己理解,并完成简单选择题,并且在做的过程中感受过去式的用法。)
8、精讲课文PPT一幅幅出示故事图片和课文,要再打出以下生词:
第一幅图:long long ago, king
第二幅图:magic,clever,foolish
第三幅图:walk through, 感叹句What beautiful clothes!
第四幅图:point at, wear
(这个环节,精讲课文,强调整句的读,让学生体会过去式在句子中的使用,也重视新词的教授。)
Step 3. Post-reading.
1、True or false(书上P8)

People could see the king’s new clothes. ______
The boy was foolish because he could not see the king’s new clothes. ______
(这个环节希望学生能读得准生词,理解课文,答得出问题。)
2、课文跟读。
3、做拓展填空练习并核对答案,同时注意强调学生对过去式发音的纠正和强调。

4、Retell the story of The king’s new clothes according to the notes on the blackboard and the pictures of the story. 小组成员共同复述后请学生到黑板前演示复述,同时通过复述,再向整体强化一遍故事内容。
5、升华主题,告诫学生要做一个诚实的人,不要被虚荣蒙蔽双眼:let’s be the honest man! Don’t be the foolish king!
Step 4. Homework.
1. Read the story by yourself, and try to retell the story.熟读故事并复述。
2. Try to compose a story by yourself, and share it with others.试着编一个故事,跟他人一起分享一下。
(这个作业旨在让学生在掌握并能讲述本故事的基础上,让其发挥想象,创编故事,有助于激发学生的创造潜能,将生活搬进故事!)
