课时分析
这一节课是译林版牛津小学英语五年级上册第八单元 At Christmas的Check out time和Ticking time. Checkout Time分别有Think and write复习本单元的语言知识点,即圣诞的各种活动和Order and say复习本课的语法知识点,First, Next, Then, Finally这些表示顺序的副词。Ticking time是针对本单元学生要达到的目标。关于Ticking time,我们备课组原来的意见是放在每个任务的后面,但是我们后来认为那样的评价并不真实,因为它不能真实反馈每个学生的掌握情况。第二次的设计是把Ticking time放在整节课的最开始,我想当然的认为这样会让学生有强烈的目标意识,但是经过施校长的点拨,Ticking time还是放在整节课的最后好:首先,可以让学生回顾一下本节课乃至本单元的主要内容;其次,学生也可以评价自己的所学,便与其回家后查漏补缺。
学情分析
儿童的天性就是玩,就是对一切事物充满了好奇,但持续性不强。在低年级的时候,因为刚开始接触英语,可能还十分好奇,对这门新的学科,对这种新的语言会产生浓厚的兴趣。但随着年级的增高、知识难度的加深,孩子们可能会慢慢对它失去了原来的兴趣,如果此时再加上难度较大的作文,我想他们也许就会更加彻底地放弃了英语学习,所以在高年级的课堂上,就出现了很多两极分化的现象。那我们老师应该怎么办呢?其实,孩子毕竟是孩子,他们对英语还是有比对其他学科更多的兴趣的,因为毕竟平时接触不到,所以老师们就要善于抓住这个特点,正确引导他们,在平时的教学中树立他们的自信心、自豪感,多给他们成功的感觉,这样肯定会收到良好的效果。体现在我们高年级的作文教学中,就应该让孩子们轻松简单地完成每一篇文章,降低作文难度,让孩子们在作文教学中慢慢体验到成功的乐趣,感受到学习英语的快乐,大大地培养他们的自信心。当然我也不主张一味地降低作文难度,这样起不到练习的效果,应该一次次提高要求,发现孩子们的水平有所提高了,老师的要求也要适当提高,这样一步一步地练习,我相信他们的作文水平肯定会有所提高,对英语的兴趣也会越来越浓厚的,这样对我们的英语教学也起到了很大的帮助。

设计理念
1.培养学生学习英语的兴趣,提高学生阅读英语故事的兴趣。 2.让学生了解西方圣诞节相关习俗,培养学生跨文化交际能力。 3. 把Checkout版块的练习课转化为趣味的活动课。
教学目标
1. 学生能了解一些有关圣诞节的知识和祝福语。
2. 学生能熟练运“Christmas, present, Christmas tree, Father Christmas, pretty, thing, Christmas Eve, stocking, wait for, finally”等核心词汇和“Merry Christmas!”“What’s wrong with…”等重点句型。
3. 引导学生初步感知“First/Next/Then/Finally,…”一系列表示先后顺序的副词结构,提升学生语言的逻辑思考能力。
4. 能灵活运用buy, put 等动词及短语描述圣诞节的有关活动和习俗。
5. 学生能复述之前学习课文内容,并以此为基础计划一下自己的圣诞节该如何过,并形成小短文。
