1. Play a video about a hotel and talk about it with the students.
1. Watch the video about a hotel and make some comments on it.
以五星级酒店的视频直接导入Hotel的话题，从美好的视觉角度引到学生轻松且自然地进入Comments的主题。

Step 2
Presentation/ Practice
1. Show a picture about Wu Yifan’s family and say “Last weekend, Wu Yifan took a trip with his family and stayed at the Holiday Hotel.”
2.Show the pictures about the Holiday Hotel and lead the students to get some information from the pictures.
3. Present the whole
text and ask students to skim and answer “How was the Wu family’s stay at the Holiday Hotel?” “How do you know that?”
4. Show the comments card.
5. Have the students scan and find the sentences that describe Pictures 1-3.
6. Show the pictures, have the students read the pictures one by one, and help them solve the difficult points.
1. Try to read and learn to say “ stayed at the Holiday Hotel.”
2. Look at the pictures and try to get some information from the pictures.
3. Skim and answer.
4. Try to understand the word “comments”.
5. Scan and find the sentences that describe Pictures 1-3.

在与视频中酒店的鲜明对比下，引到学生从对Holiday Hotel外观的整体印象评价到对Hotel的内部印象评价，把评论的话语权给学生。
一读文本插图，使学生在读图的过程中获取文本的主要信息和相关信息。培养学生的观察能力和判断能力。
在观察和思考后，引导学生运用skim（浏览式略读）的阅读方式，粗中有细略读，紧抓文本关键句。
二读插图和文本，在寻读中找出与插图相匹配的句子，并对学生进行寻读技巧的指导，披沙拣金做寻读，发挥插图的作用，逐图分段解决重难点，培养学生良好的阅读能力和学习策略。

培养学生口头表达能力的同时，使其逐步形成良好的思维品质，并为课后作业3做适当铺垫。
