About textbook This unit presents us a touching story of friendship . Through reading the story, students will berealizing the value of friendship, meanwhile, their ability to think and judge will be developed.
About students
My students are familiar with the topic of the lesson because friendship plays an important role in teenagers’ life and they treasure their friendship a lot. However, when they use English to read and write about friendship problem , it comes to be a great challenge due to the language and the logic. Therefore, I would like to help my students focus on the language and improve their ability to think and judge in a more logical way. Media Whiteboard, video, video cameras, projector

Step 2
Post Reading (38 mins)
1. To use the proper language to retell the story;
2.To cultivate students’ reading
competence, including information recognizing and strategies utilizing; 3.To enable students to express their doubts of the plots
1. Focus students’ attention to the title and learn to predict the story from the title. 2. Check students’ reading quality by choosing students at random and after reading, encourage others to evaluate with the help of reading evaluation sheet. 3. Focus back on the title and call back the general idea of the passage through asking wh-questions. 4. Order the pictures and retell the story in group. 5. Question students’ about the detailed description of changes in feelings and help students to realize the structure of passage. 6. Guide students to think deeply whether they would change in the same situation and express their doubts of the plots
1. Think and predict from the title with the expression “ I want to know......from the passage.”
2. Read the story with the right pronunciation, the proper speed ,a loud voice and above all with feelings. 3. Answer the wh-questions.
4.Order the pictures and retell the story in group.
5. Learn the way to describe the changes in feelings in proper English.
6. Think,express and share the doubts of the plots
