课标分析:本课为语篇教学,其中穿插对话教学。语篇教学是指在具体语境中教学单词和句型,主张从主体入手,展现给学生完整的语言篇幅。
教材分析:整个第二单元是围绕主人公去北京旅游这一主题展开的,第十课就是其中一站:长城游玩的片段。在游玩过程中很自然地介绍了长城的悠久历史,展现了它的伟大,同时由于Danny饥饿从而发现了一家餐馆引发了一段令人紧张的小插曲,使得整个篇章诙谐有趣,又振奋人心。本课出现了几个不容易记忆的单词tired,wait,stop,afraid,需要学生在篇章整体中去把握它们的含义。
学情分析:五年级的学生已经拥有了一定的词汇量,有一定的语言表达能力,在学习第9课的基础上,学生能顺利地表达How old? 和How long?句型,并能较流利地朗读课文,能听懂教师的基本口语,理解教师的用意,从而表达他们的想法。但对几个单词的发音及理解会有一定的难度,如wait,afraid,tired。
教学目标:1、学生能听懂、会说、认读、书写stop,wait,feel,tired,afraid.
2、能认读、理解、应用句型:How long is _______? Don’t be afraid.
3、培养学生自学,自我解决问题的能力。培养他们倾听、朗读及模仿的能力。 教学重难点:重点:1、能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。
2、在语境中理解wait,afraid,feel,tired,stop等词的含义 3、能理解、朗读课文
难点:介绍北京的其它名胜古迹。 教学过程:
Step One:Greeting and revision T:Good morning,boys and girls. Ss: Good morning,Miss Zhang. T: How’s the weather today? S1: It’s sunny.
T: It’s a fine day today. Do you feel happy? Ss: Yes. We are happy. T: Look, what’s this?
S2: It’s the Palace Museum.
T: Talk about the Palace Museum. (学生可能展示如下信息:The Palace Museum is in Beijing. It’s red and yellow. It’s beautiful. It’s old. It’s about six hundred years old. We can see some old chairs and tables in it. We can take some pictures there.and so on.)
(设计意图:通过和谐可亲的聊天拉近与学生的距离,快乐地把学生带进英语课堂中来。通过谈论故宫的相关知识,复习了上节课的重点,还可围绕旅游这条线,轻松导入本课的学习)
Step Two:New Concepts
1、T: The Palace Museum is in Beijing. Do you know some other famous places in Beijing? (学生可能答出:the Great Wall, Tian’an men Square)
T:Yes.The Great Wall and Tian’anmen Square are in Beijing. And they are in Beijing,too.出示如下图画:Bird’s Nest,Water Cube,Summer Palace,Beihai Park让学生认、读、说,以增加学生
对北京的了解。
2、T:So Beijing is great! What’s this? Ss:The Great Wall.
T: Do you know the Great Wall? Talk about it.
(设计意图:培养学生用英语表达的能力。检验学生对以往学习的回顾和对新课预习的成果。)
3、T: Is the Great Wall far from our school? How do you go to the Great Wall? 4、T:LiMing,Danny and Jenny are in Beijing now.They want to go to the Great Wall. Please listen to Part One. (设计意图:解决学生们的语音问题,改正课前预习时错误的语音,学习纯正的英语发音。对第一部分的课文有一定意义上的了解。)
5、T:Read Part One by yourselves. Think about the questions with “how”
(学生可能问出的问题有:How do they go to the Great Wall? How old is the Great Wall? How long is the Great Wall?) 根据课文内容让学生来回答这些问题,达到自己想问题,自己解决问题的目的。教师出示幻灯片,总结学生提出的问题及答案,加深学生的印象。教师并适时地提问:Is the Great Wall old? Is it long? 并得出结论:That’s great!
6、T: They are happy on the Great Wall.Then they come back to the hotel. How does Danny feel on the way back to the hotel? Listen to Part Two.学生听后回答上面这个问题。答案为:He feels tired and hungry.
T:What does he see? S3:He sees a restaurant.
T: Danny is so hungry.Does he walk to the restaurant? S4:No.
T: Which sentence shows us in the text? S5:Danny runs to the restaurant.
T:Look at this picture. Where are Danny,Jenny and LiMing? S6:They are on the street.
T: Can you see the restaurant? Is it near Danny? S7:No. It’s across from them.
T: What is on the street? What can you see? S8:There are too many cars and buses.
T:But Danny runs to the restaurant. It’s too dangerous. Can Danny go? Ss:No.
T: So stop,Danny. 教师做出停止的动作,帮助学生理解stop的含义。
T:What can Danny do?让学生在文中找到相应的句子并回答出来:Please wait.请等待。Be careful.当心
T: Jenny is worry about Danny. Can you read the sentences that Jenny says to Danny in the feeling?几名学生试着用焦急的心情去读一读珍妮说的几句话。 T:Look at this picture. How does Danny feel? Is he happy? Ss:No.
T:Yes.He is afraid.afraid,教师重复这个单词,并做出相应的表情帮助学生理解。Who helps him?
S9:The man helps him.
教师幻灯片出示问题:Is Danny afraid of the cars and buses?学生回答:Yes,he is.
7、Listen and read Part Two again.Then read Part Two in roles.Pay attention to the pronunciation
and intonation.(设计意图:分角色读课文,一为了锻炼学生朗读的能力;二为了检验学生刚学的四会单词是不是已经掌握了;三为了培养学生的小组合作能力)
8、Look and write.用幻灯片展示书中P27页填空题,再次检验学生是不是掌握并理解了本课的四个四会单词。
9、Summary:总结通过学习本课,自己掌握了什么知识?进一步加深对重点知识的印象。 Step Three:Homework 1、 Read and recite the text.
2、 Copy and recite the new words. 3、 Finish the Activity Book. 4、 Prepare for Lesson 11. 教学反思:
