高三复习课之---简单句的基本句型教学设计
Basic sentence patterns
一、教学分析 1、教学内容分析:
简单句是英语学科知识中比较基础的一个语法点,主要有五种基本句型。学生平时接触的句子基本上全是这五种句型或是由它们演变而来。目前,英语学科是很重视阅读的,一张试卷中,除了听力和写作,都和阅读有着紧密的关系。而读就是读句子,如果看不懂句子的话,做题的正确率也可想而知。所以,简单句以及由简单句扩充而成的长难句的理解及分析就是本节课的主要内容。旨在教会学生如何正确地分析和理解句子,扫除他们在阅读上的障碍,从而提高做题正确率和考试得分。 2、学情分析:
授课对象是高三普通班的学生,英语水平参差不齐,有的同学学了十年英语,到现在还分不清主谓宾等句子成分。这势必会影响到学生做题,比如阅读中的长难句理解,完形填空、语法填空和短文改错中涉及到连词和非谓语的题目,学生如果不能正确地分析句子结构,想要完全做对是不可能的。此外,在书面表达中,教师经常会发现学生写出有结构错误的句子,如缺谓语、非谓语误用、连词使用不当等。以上情况都反映出学生在这一方面的薄弱及不足。 3、教学目标:
经过本节课的学习,学生能够: ①正确辨别出简单句的五种基本句子结构;
②懂得如何去分析长难句并在此基础上合理理解句意;
③意识到正确分析句子结构的重要性并在平时做题过程中加以练习。 二、教学过程
(一)导入
Let’s look at the screen. When you see the background of the PPT, the Chinese character “福”and the rooster, what will you think of?
(The Spring Festival)
Next, I will show you a video, which is about the origin of the Spring Festival and the activities people usually take. Please pay attention to the sentences you will hear in the video.

Do your feelings about the Spring Festival come like flood? Everyday, we ate snacks, played computer and watched TV. During my winter holiday, I was deeply absorbed in this TV programme“极限挑战”, so today, I prepare some challenges for you. Let’s begin with a small challenge.
设计意图:这一部分采用的是话题导入。虽说简单句的语法与春节没什么关系,但我们都知道语法课一向都不为学生们所喜爱,总觉得很闷很无趣,所以教师把鸡年和综艺节目两个元素放到导入版块,一方面希望提起同学们的兴趣,另一方面为本节课的家庭作业(写作)做铺垫,给学生搭建话题支架和语言支架。
(二)简单句的五种基本句型
1、 Challenge 1: Write out sentence patterns (句子成分缩写:S,V, P, O, IO, DO, OC)
⑴ Chinese New Year is the most important traditional Chinese holiday.
⑵ In winter, the monster would come down from the mountains to hunt people. ⑶ People organized themselves to deal with the monster.
⑷ On the first day of Chinese New Year, people usually visit their relatives.
⑸ On the second day of New Year, the married couple will bring the wife’s parents some gifts. Divide the students into groups. Two volunteers write on the blackboard, and the rest write on your papers. Let’s check three minutes later.
设计意图:用于分析的五个句子均来自导入部分的视频中,延续话题性,一方面使学生继续持有兴趣及积极性,愿意看愿意说;另一方面让学生学习与该话题有关的语言表达,为后面的输出做积累。
2、Challenge 2:
As to the five patterns, the first and basic part we should master is verb. It has three kinds: vt, vi & link verb.
But knowing this is not enough for the grammar. We’d better know how to use these structures. Write down as many sentences as your team can, which are about the topic “Spring Festival”. The red part in these structures can be presented differently.
“Presented differently” means using different elements to function as parts of sentence. Look at the example.
Eg: I like selfie. (名词作宾语)
I enjoy watching the TV series “Life After Life, Blooms Over Blooms”. (动名词短语作宾语)
The sentence pattern of the two sentences is the same: S+V+O, but their objects are different. Give students six minutes to write sentences. Then three volunteer groups present their sentences.
设计意图:在简短复习了句子的五种基本句型结构之后,这一部分的学习是想让学生对句子结构的组成有进一步的理解,摆脱以往的旧识,认为只有名词和代词才能做主语、宾语、补语等。通过该部分的巩固复习,希望同学们知道名词、代词、形容词、动词不定式、现在分词、过去分词、句子等都可以在简单句型中充当成分。(这一部分是难点。)
You did a good job. After reviewing the basic structures, verbs and usage of simple sentence, we’ll pay attention to a more difficult aspect: simple sentences and long sentences.
Besides short sentences, we often come across long and difficult sentences. Whether we can analyse them correctly will affect our understanding directly.
(三)长难句的分类及分析步骤 1、长难句的分类:
①带有较多成分的简单句;②有多个简单句的并列句;③含有多个从句的复合句;④含有多个插入成分的句子;⑤并列复合句
2、长难句分析步骤:
①确定是简单句、并列句还是复合句 ②简单句----- 抓主干 ----- 找次要
③并列句----- 找连词 ----- 划成分
④复合句----- 找连词 ----- 定主句----- 辩性质(从句类别) Let students read the steps together。
Now, let’s have a practice. Please take out your mission card. (The mission card has already been put into students desk, which is a surprise set for students.)
设计意图:设计如上发放任务卡环节是参考前面提到的综艺节目“极限挑战”。因为是语法课,上课至现在,学生们也许会有点累了,设计该举动是为了活跃气氛,调节学生的学习状态。
3、Challenge 3:
Task 1: Analyze the structure and members of each sentence
1. So people organized themselves to deal with the monster by wearing the red clothes, beating drums and guns, burning bamboo and lighting fireworks in the purpose of making big noises to threaten the monster.
2. Kids are very happy to go with their parents because they'll get lucky money wrapped with a red bag from their relatives to wish them keep away from the bad luck.
3.It’s said that Nian was once the name of the furious monster that lived on human beings in ancient times.
设计意图:在跟学生归纳整理了长难句的分类和分析步骤之后,上面三个长句是用来实践理论的。由于学生层次不同,考虑到基础薄弱的同学可能不知道怎么下手,我用不同的下划线将句子大致结构进行了区分,希望起到示范引导的作用,让他们切实体会到应该如何去做。此外,这三个长句仍然与春节话题有关,只是较之前的句子更长了。进一步为家作中的写作任务搭建内容和语言支架。
Task 2: Analyze the sentence and make a choice
Delighted as I was by the tomatoes in sight, my happiness deepened when I learned that Brown's Grove Farm is one of the suppliers for Jack Dusty, a newly opened restaurant at the Sarasota Ritz Carlton, where--- luckily for me--- I was planning to have dinner that very night. (2015 课标全国卷Ⅰ• 阅读B篇)
Q: What was the author going to that evening?
A. Go to a farm. B. Check into a hotel. C. Eat in a restaurant. D. Buy fresh vegetables.
Task 3: Analyze the structure and do the exercise
1. 填空题:
Keeping a travel diary on the website can be a popular way to communicate with other people who are interested in traveling, and ______(share) adventures with friends and family who may live far away.
2. 改错题:
Festivals let us enjoy life, proud of our customs and forget our work for a little while.
设计意图:以上两个task都是与高考题型相关的练习,让学生体会并了解在考试题中,正确分析长难句是十分重要的,直接影响做题正确率。以此警示同学们要在平时的练习中多多分析句子结构和句意,养成良好的习惯,慢慢地,练习多了自然也就熟练了。
(四)Homework:
1、Analyze the following sentences from college entrance examination paper(高考卷)and translate
①.I want to prove that I can teach myself a respectable profession, without going to college, and be just as good as , if not better than, my competitors.(2016 北京 A篇)
②Readers also tended to share articles that were exciting or funny, or that inspired negative feeling like anger or anxiety, but not articles that left them merely sad.(2016 课标全国 D篇)
③Translated into high school terms, this means that if everybody you hang around with is laughing at what John wore or what Jane said, then you can bet that wearing or saying something similar will get you the same kind of negative attention.(2016 浙江 A篇)
2、Write an article to introduce your Spring Festival, including at least two long sentences.
设计意图:1、链接高考题,继续锻炼学生分析长难句的能力。2、写一篇“我的春节”文章,呼应贯穿整堂课的春节话题,让之前的输入有一个输出的平台。另外,学生写作时主要都是用简单句,能力强的同学可能会用一些长句。在今天学完这堂课后布置这个写作任务,主要目的也是希望同学们把今天所学用在写作上,除了写得时候多思考用词用句,也希望他们写完之后,能从句子结构方面去检查自己是否有错误存在。
三、教学反思
1、对于学生分析句子结构的能力估计过高,第一个写基本句型结构的练习,两个英语成绩好的同学上台演板,一个同学五句对了一句,另一个同学五句对了三句。可见,基础薄弱的同学就更分不清了。思考: 课后还要强化学生对简单句的句子结构划分练习,要达到一看到句子就能准确划分出成分的能力。
2、Challenge 2 的部分有点难度,三个学生所呈现出的句子表明他们对基本句型的使用基本没有问题,但对于使用非谓语、从句充当句子成分还不是那么得心应手。 3、Challenge 3 部分分析长难句的练习学生学生做得不错。整个课上完后,我的感觉是:前半部分需要学生自己写句子,他们就做得欠佳;后半部分对句子进行客观分析,他们就做得不错。所以我认为,学生在语言及语法运用方面的能力还有待加强,平时要养成主动去思考,积极去实践的习惯。在以后的教学在,尤其在写作版块,我也会多多的关注、提醒学生注意句子结构与组成的问题。
