教学目标
(一) 教学目标
1. 知识和技能
1)让学生欣赏古诗《游子吟》的英文版和一段关于母爱的文章“Mother’s Love”。
2)掌握以下句型:
①描述个人过去经历的句型:
When I was _____ years old, my mother/ father _________________. I thanked her/him by ___________________.
② 表达个人建议的句型:
On their birthdays, we should _______________________________.
When they are ill, we’d better _______________________________.
When they are upset, why not _______________________________.

3)培养学生从听力材料中提取信息的听力技能。
4)培养学生能有条理地描述个人过去经历和表达个人建议的语言技能。
5)培养学生能给父母写信,交流信息和情感的语言技能。
2. 文化与策略
通过让学生独立思考获取信息和合作解决问题的途径,让他们了解古今中外的父母对孩子们有着同样的爱。
3. 情感与态度
帮助学生学会感恩。先学会去理解感激父母的养育之恩,进而体会到师长的教诲之恩,朋友的帮助之恩等等。学会了感恩,才能学会爱家人,爱身边的人,才能学会爱社会、爱祖国。
2学情分析
1. 学生思想特点
现在的孩子都是家庭的中心,他们心中只有自己,没有别人,所以要让他们学会感恩尤其重要。学会了感恩,他们就会慢慢更懂得如何尊重和关爱家人、身边的人,进而学会爱社会、爱祖国。
2. 学生语言技能
高一的学生掌握了一定的听说技能,能够在老师的指导下独立的获取信息及输出信息。
3重点难点
1. 教材内容的地位、作用与意义
本节课属校本培训课程,教材内容是任教教师自选整合而成。其中,古诗《游子吟》的英文版和一段关于母爱的文章“Mother’s Love”,能让学生们体会到古今中外的父母对孩子们有着同样的爱。关于父母基本信息的调查表,能帮助了解自已对父母知多少。
2. 本节课的重点和难点
1)重点: 通过各个环节让学生感受到父母为他们所付出的爱;同时,让学生能反省自己的为父母付出了多少爱,进而让他们学会感恩父母,在日常生活中多关心、关爱父母。
2)难点:让学生用英文能有条理地描述个人过去经历和表达如何去感恩父母,并掌握相应的句型。
4教学过程
4.1Show Thankfulness to Our Parents
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step 1 Warming—up (3’)
Tell the Ss they’ll do some listening and speaking today. The topic is“ showing thankfulness to our parents.”
Ask the Ss to enjoy an ancient Chinese poem ----- A song of a travelling son. From the poem, the Ss can taste the love from a mother.
活动2【活动】Step 2 Listening and speaking (17‘)
Task 1 Listen to the tape, and fill in the blanks. (11’)
Ask the Ss to listen to a passage called Mother’s Love. At the same time, ask them to listen for some information and fill in 5 blanks.
Check the answers.
Ask the Ss to write down some similar experiences in 3 minutes by using the following drills: when I was ____ year(s) old, my mother/father ______________. I thanked her/him by________________.
Ask some Ss to stand up and talk about their experiences.
Task 2 Do a survey -----How much do you know about your parents? (6’)
1. After finishing Task 1, the teacher can say,“You know that our parents love us so much. However, I wonder how much you know about them.” Then ask the Ss to do the following survey.
Tell the Ss each answer means one score. Ask the Ss to add up their score and see how many points their
get. Then, tell the Ss the results of the survey.
活动3【活动】Task 3 Video watching (7’)
1. Ask the Ss the meaning of “Family”. (It means: Father and mother, I love you.)
2. Ask the Ss to watch a video called Family and says the following words:
Are you moved? Just now, I saw sb. wiping their eyes. Now please answer the question: As a child, what
should we do in return for our parents’ love?
3. Ask the Ss to stand up and talk about their ideas.
活动4【活动】Task 4 Conclusion (11’)
1. The teacher says,“Our parents love us so much and have done so many things for us, so we must show our thankfulness and love to them. From now on, we should do the following things. ”

2. Ask the Ss to discuss in pairs in 4 minutes and write down their ideas .

Ask the Ss to write a letter of thankfulness and love to their parents.
