Reading
I. Analysis of the teaching material
This unit is concerned with teaching students about what makes a great person. After studying the unit, it is hoped to see differences between a famous person and a great one. The purpose of this reading is to introduce students to the qualities and abilities that make Nelson Mandela such an interesting person to study.
II. Analysis of the students
For students, they have learnt some heroes such as Zang Tianyou, Norman Bethune etc. However, they are not so familiar with Nelson Mandela and his deeds. III. Teaching objectives
