2.    The ability aim: Students can describe their free time activities and make a pie chart. 
3.    The emotional aim: Let students know the daily life of each other and help themselves to keep good habits. Ask them to learn from each other and make their schedule.

The analysis of students
Before we learn this lesson, students have learned some frequency words and activities they can do in their free time. It’s easy to attract their attention and when they’re learning, they can compare the results with theirs. So it’s good for them to keep a good habit in the future.

Teaching importance and difficulties
1.    Importance : Learn to get useful information correctly   
2.    Difficulties:  Make a pie chart and do a report according to the results

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】warming up
What do you do in your free time?
Ask students to list more activities and help them to tell which activities are healthy or unhealthy.
 
活动2【活动】fast reading
1)    Read the passage quickly and find the answers to the questions below.
a.    How many kinds of free time activities are mentioned in the passage?
b.    What is the best way to relax?
2)    2b  Fill in the pie chart 
a.    Review the numbers quickly and find out the numbers in the text.
Pay attention to the words—percent and times behind the numbers.
b.    Fill in the pie chart.
 
活动3【活动】Intensive reading
Listen to the tape, read the article again and answer the questions in 2c.
活动4【练习】Watch and learning (2d)
According to the article and the pie charts, write sentences with the percentages using, always, usually or sometimes.
活动5【活动】Group work (2e)
1)    Choose one of these free time activities or think of your own. Then ask your classmates in your team how often they do this activity
2)    Give students examples and ask students to make a pie chart and give their report.
活动6【作业】Homework
Rank the activities you do in your free time and make a pie chart.
Write a report according to the result. 
活动7【讲授】summary
 In this lesson, we learn how to talk about the activities we do in free time and know which activities are healthy or unhealthy. We also make a survey to keep good daily habits.
