(1) Learn the spirit of Yong Gong.
(2) Educate students not to be afraid of difficulties and develop the spirit that one never gives up.
2学情分析
本单元话题内容是童话故事,贴近学生生活实际,学生们感兴趣,有话可说,有话愿说。在Go for it七年级(下)第十单元How was your school trip?和第十一单元What did you do last weekend?以及八年级(上)第一单元Where did you go on vacation?中曾学习过了动词过去式的基本用法。在学习本单元运用过去式讲述英语故事时,结合上一单元的过去进行时,温故而知新。由词汇变化到句子,再由句子扩展到语篇,以听促说,使每位学生都能使用正确的语言结构讲故事。
3重点难点
1. Key points:
(1) Grasp some new words and phrases and can use them correctly and easily.
(2)Learn to tell a story by using past tense and the sentence like “once upon a time…”.

活动1【导入】warm－up

(1)T: Let’s enjoy a song.
The song reminds us a story. Do you know the name of the story?
(2)Show some pictures, and lead students to speak out the name of the stories.
(3)Teach students the name of the stories.
设计意图:以一首大家熟悉的音乐导入这节课,营造轻松愉悦的气氛,唤起学生的兴趣,使学生保持一种积极的学习状态,很自然地引出本节课的内容,引导者学生说出中国民间神话故事的名称,让学生很快融入到学英语的课堂中来,同时教授故事名称和其中出现的生单词。
活动2【讲授】 Presentation
T: Let’s watch a video about Yu Gong.
After watching, please answer three questions.
1.Who wanted to move the mountains?
2.How many mountains were there near Yu Gong’s house?
3.What did Yu Gong want his family to do?
设计意图:教师播放自己英文配音的愚公移山的视频,学生们都知道愚公移山的故事,但是听英文版还是第一次,于是这个视频带领学生在英语语境中感受这个神话故事。并且设置问题,让学生带着任务去观看视频,帮助学生们理解,并且为接下来的听力任务做铺垫,充分地调动了学生的积极性。

设计意图:在听2a,2b之前,带领学生谈论图片,一方面为学生扫清生单词的障碍,另一方面让学生观察图片,加深对故事情节的了解,为听力做铺垫。第三遍听力任务的设置,通过填空的形式来实现对故事的复述。通过图片加深印象,创设情景,促使学生在学习过程中学会细心观察,巩固了本节课的重点。

(2)Challenge yourself
Choose one student to tell the story.
设计意图:让学生进行小组练习,这样的活动既可以培养学生的合作意识,又能在情景中体会用英文讲故事的乐趣,增强他们的自信心,变被动学习为主动学习,从而突破了难点。
