一、教学内容
Reading:Great cities in Asia
二、教学目标:
1. 了解北京、东京、曼谷的相关信息,能理解文本内容,能朗读复述文本内容。 2. 通过任务型阅读培养学生的阅读兴趣和阅读能力。
3. 通过语言侦探活动和拼图阅读活动培养学生的自主阅读策略。
4. 通过文本的比较能梳理文章的结构层次,知道如何全面介绍一个城市。 三、教学重点
1.了解北京、东京、曼谷的相关信息,能理解文本内容,能朗读复述文本内容。 2.通过语言侦探活动和拼图阅读活动培养学生的自主阅读策略。 四、教学难点:
1. 学生自主阅读策略的培养。
2. 发散性的任务比较多,课堂组织有一定难度。 3. 本文生词太多,影响学生的阅读兴趣。 五、学情分析(教材分析也可以用这个,嘿嘿)
上课内容是牛津上海版六下第一单元的reading板块,但是由于赛课的需要,用的是南京五年级的学生,对于学生来说,教材完全不同,基础也不一样,课文中大量的生词对学生造成了很大的阅读障碍。不过好在本节课是作为课外阅读来上的,因此教学目标和重难点的定位与普通reading的要求略有不同。五年级学生的阅读兴趣还是很浓厚的,也具备一定的阅读基础和阅读能力。 六、教学准备
Ppt、文本的二次改编、相关城市的贴图、板书贴、固体胶。 七、教学过程 A. Before class:
Enjoy a short movie about Asian landscape.
(设计意图:在如诗如画的风景中感受亚洲的美丽,为创设本课情境做好铺垫。) B. Free talk
Just now we enjoyed a short movie about Asian landscape. Is it beautiful?The world is so big and nice,do you want to have a look?Where do you want to go?Why?
(设计意图:激活学生已有生活经验和知识基础,利用网络热词“世界那么大,我想去看看”创设教学情境。) C. Pre-reading 1. Enjoy:
I like travelling. I have been to many beautiful places.Look! (欣赏老师近几年的旅行照片,师做简单的介绍)
Last summer holiday,I went to Anhui and sichuan. This is my daughter,she likes travelling too. We climbed huangshan , visited hongcun. Sichuan is pandas’ hometown. In 2015,we went to shanxi. This is 兵马俑,this is hukou waterfalls. In 2014,we went to shandong and xiamen, we saw the sea and climb taishan. In 2013, we went to beijing. There are many museums and palaces. Look, this is palace museum, this is summer palace, this is winter palace, this is the great wall, this is beijing roast duck,it's very yummy. (设计意图:艺术来源于生活,老师这几年的旅行照片让情境更加真实,只有真实的情境才能激发学生参与课堂的欲望。而且这个环节也为下文任务的设置做好铺垫。) 2. Talk:
This is beijing. Have you been to beijing? What do you know about beijing?
D. While reading
1. 师生共同学习北京:Be a language detective (1)学生自由阅读,找出每句话里面的关键词。
Do you want to know more about beijing?Now read this passage,you will know a lot. The first task: be a language detective. Read the passage,find out the key words of each sentence,then circle them. Maybe these pictures will help you.
(2)说学生已经掌握的内容。Now who can tell me, from this passage, what do you know ? Can you read the sentences you have known. (3)教学学生不会的内容
From the passage, which words or sentences do you not read or understand? You can point , let’s learn together. (根据学生的反馈相机学习生词生句) (4)Check
Ok ,now can you read the passage? let's read with the tape。Now do you know a lot about beijing?Can you answer these questions?
(设计意图:本篇文章介绍了亚洲的三大城市:北京、东京、曼谷,文章结构基本差不多,因此教师的设想是通过师生共同学习第一段北京,教会学生阅读方法,然后放手让学生自学二三两段,实现教是为了不教不教的目的。北京的学习采用的是“语言侦探”的阅读策略,就是通过阅读文本,培养学生寻找关键词关键句的能力。)
2. 图文配对学习曼谷和东京,Jinsaw reading
导语:You did a good job. Do you want to beijing this summer holiday?I have been to beijing,so this summer holiday I'm not going to beijing。 I’m going to travel abroad. I want to Tokyo,I also want to Bangkok.Which city should I go?Can you help me? I have two passages about tokyo and Bangkok. After we learned them, I hope you can give me some advice. This time,let's do a jingsaw reading.
(设计意图:《英语课程标准》倡导“任务型”的教学模式,培养学生综合语言运用能力。并强调“老师应该避免单纯传授语言的教学方法,尽量采用‘任务型’的教学模式”。本节课老师所设置的任务就是:请学生们给老师提建议暑假该去哪个城市游玩,东京还是曼谷?既然是提建议,那必须对这两个城市很了解才能提出合理的建议,所以带着这样真实的任务展开学习,学生立刻兴致盎然。) (1)分组
First let me divide you into two big groups. Group 1and 3 ,your passages are about tokyo ,so you are group tokyo, Group2and 4 ,your passages are about bangkok ,so you are group bangkok. Let’s read the passage with your deskmate,then find the pictures about Tokyo or Bangkok,ok? (2)学生同桌合作完成拼图。 (3)let's check
Have you finish your task?Now let's check. Are you right? (4)let's introduce在学生介绍的过程中相机学习生词。
四人小组朗读文本,练习向他人介绍自己的城市,不会的单词可以请教老师或者同学。“东京”组和“曼谷”组PK,轮流向对方介绍自己的城市,说对一句加一颗星。
Read the passage in four,practise introducing your city,if you don't know the words,you can ask me or your partners。Then group Tokyo and group Bangkok,introduce your city to others in turn,let's pk!
(设计意图:Jigsaw是一种拼图游戏,也就是把零散的部分拼成一幅完整的图画。这是一种人们喜闻乐见的游戏,可以锻炼人们的记忆力,分析推理能力及动手能力。Jigsaw reading就是把Jigsaw的理念和做法与英语阅读相结合的一种教学方法。中文从字面上讲可以译为“拼图阅读”,专业上又把它译为“互补式阅读”。根据本篇文章的特点,我的操作方法如下:首先分组学习,第一组和第三组学习东京,第二组和第四组学习曼谷,每个人阅读各自的文本内容,然后同桌合作完成该城市的拼图,接着“东京”组和“曼谷”组PK,轮流向对方介绍自己的城市。这样每个孩子就把自己的那部分文本内容通过自主学习,合作学习、交流分享扎实掌握了。) 3. Make a city card
(1)let's think:从哪些方面了解一个城市
Now group Tokyo ,you know a lot about Tokyo, group Bangkok,you know a lot about Bangkok。Do you want to know a lot about each other's city? What do you want to know about this city? Yes ,if we want to know a lot about a city,we can know its position,its status,its population and so on。根据学生所说相机板书:position、population、famous places、food… (2)let's make 老师示范制作引导学生提问
Now we can make a city card like this,for example,I want to make a card of Tokyo,I know it's the capital of Japan,but I don't know it's position、population、famous places、food…How to ask?引导学生根据关键词设计问题,根据学生的回答相机板书。
(3)学生自己制作,下位提问,运用板书的句型。
Now it's your turn。Make a city card of each other's city,you can go to ask students in another group about this city's information,don't forget to use these questions. (4)展示各自的city card
Have you finished your works?Who wants to show it to us?(老师请一个学生上台,实物投影她的作品,帮助她完成对作品的介绍)
(设计意图:上述环节才只是学习了一个城市,另一个城市怎么办呢?这时候就需要用到“互补式阅读”了。东京组知道的内容是曼谷组不知道的,反之亦然,因此通过制作另一个城市的名片卡,引导学生如何提问,如何了解一个城市,让学生下位互相询问,完成city card的填写,这样的任务激发了学生的学习欲望,任务真实自然的,学生非常感兴趣。通过jigsaw reading,学生完成了对文本的学习过程,加深对于语篇的理解,提高阅读的能力。 4. Read the passage

述成学生自己的话语,达到语言输出的目的。) (2)比较总结
找三个城市的相同点,点题:great cities in Asia

(设计意图:三篇小片段的学习让学生了解了北京、东京、曼谷,但是它们之间的共同点在哪儿呢?通过这样的问题,引导学生去比较分析,关注语篇之间的联系,培养学生的观察分析归纳能力。而且这个环节的设计也起到画龙点睛的作用,点明文章主题。) F. Homework
上网搜索你感兴趣的一个城市的资料,仿照本课的文章结构,写一篇城市介绍,可以配图哦。
Enjoy the pictures, after class ,you can look for some information about this city on the Internet. Then write a composition about this city. This is today’s homework.
(设计意图:课堂要从课内延伸到课外,学以致用,将本节课所学习到的学习策略运用到家庭作业中,进一步培养学生的综合素养。)
