Step1. 热身
Sing the song in Lesson 14 “write a postcard” T: What does Jenny write? S: Jenny writes a postcard.
T: Who does Jenny send the postcard to? S: She sends the postcard to her parents
T: What about Danny? Does Danny have postcards? How many? S: Danny has nine postcards. He will send the postcards to his mother.
T: Where will they go?
S: They will go to the post office.
T: But they don’t know where the post office is. If you are Jenny, what will you do?
S: I will ask a policeman for help. S2: I will look at a map. S3: …… Step 2. 新授
T: What does Jenny do? S: She asks the man for help.
T: Can we ask “ Hi, where is the post office?” and why?
S: No, because it’s impolite. We should ask “ Excuse me, where is the post office?”
T: Listen to part 1, find the question “Where is the post office?” How to ask the directions?
Go straight and turn left at the traffic lights. The post office is on the left.
Go straight and turn right at the second traffic lights.
Go down the street and pass two traffic lights. The zoo is on the
right.
通过歌曲开课。调动学生学习英语的兴趣。并引出本课主题

学生在地图上指路,能把课上所学知识灵活运用,并拓展和指路的相关知识。

Read part 2 silently and think about two questions. a. How much is one stamp?
b. Does Danny know how to write a postcard? Read and imitate. Read and act it out. Step: 4 角色扮演 Step: 5 拓展升华
T: I have a postcard. It’s from my friend. He is teaching in a “Hope School.” Life is difficult for them. But they study hard. Let’s buy something for them and send to them. What do you want to buy? Where will you go? How much are they?
Discuss with your partners and make a dialogue.
Step: 6. Homework.
Make a survey: (调查)
1. What other ways do we send things? (人们现在还有其它什么方式寄东西?) 2. Do we need stamps?(需要邮票吗?)
3. How much do we need to pay? (怎样支付邮费?)
学生默读课文,深入思考,探究文本隐藏的信息。 听录音,模仿对话,学生创设真实的情境购物,表演,加深英语交际的实际运用。
学生讨论想给谁买东西,为什么,引出深化主题,为山区孩子买一些必需品并寄给他们。
联系生活学生现在寄物品会去哪里,是去邮局还是去中通或顺丰等快递。
