Where Can I fly a kite?
一、教学目标:
1.通过图片观察和结合自己的生活经验,学生能用祈使句“Please don’t …在相应场景中对正在实施的危险、不当行为提出禁止,同时能口头提出建议。
2.通过小组合作,给不同场景选择适合的public signs,让学生了解特定的场合要遵守哪些规则,从而引导学生树立遵守规则的意识。
二、教学重难点:
1.学生能够用“Please don’t …. ”向不当行为提出禁止,并用It’s not safe. It’s dangerous.”向他人做出劝告。
2.能够认识禁止标识并知晓规则——不同地点哪些行为是需要禁止的——形成遵守规则的意识。 突破方法:
1. 通过评价Maomao一系列行为来学习该课的主句型“Please don’t …. It’s not safe. It’s dangerous.”
2.通过小组合作给特定场景选择适合的禁止标志,将文本和学生的生活实际相结合,引发学生的深度思考,适时教育学生要遵守规则养成文明行为习惯。
三、教学过程:
(一)Warming up 活动一:Why not?
活动目标:通过判断主人公行为是否安全,让学生初步建立安全意识。
活动意图:在评判Maomao一系列行为过程中学习新单词dangerous、safe,通过劝阻Maomao的危险行为从而初步渗透主句型结构并引入课文主题。 T: What’s the weather like today? What will you do ? S: It’s hot. I want to... I will ...
T:Good ideas! Maomao wants to swim with his friend. Where can Maomao swim? S: In the swimming pool.
T:But there will be many people. Can he swim in the river? S:No.
T:Why not? You can speak Chinese.

S:It’s not safe. It’s dangerous. T:Great!
T:When Maomao is in the street .Can he cross the road ? Why not? S:No, It’s dangerous .It’s not safe.
T: When Maomao is in the classroom, Can he do this? why not? S: No, It’s dangerous .It’s not safe.
T:What a naughty boy! If you see these , you can stop him with Please don’t… (二)Presentation and practice 活动一:Stay away from danger
活动目标:通过问题的设置学习课文,整体把握课文对话内容,激活学生的思维,提升学生语言能力。
活动意图:通过问题的层层递进帮助学生理解课文内容,在此过程中切身感受到规则在生活中的重要性。
实施方法和师生预设语言:
T: Look! What does Maomao wants to do here ? S:He wants to fly the kite here. 1) Can he fly the kite there? Why not?
S:No, It’s dangerous .It’s not safe. Because there are wires .
T: Yes .If the string touches the wires, he will get an electric shock. It will be a disaster.
4)T:It seems that he doesn’t know how dangerous it is .See,an old lady is coming. Guess what can she say? Now let’s watch the video to check. Please don’t fly your kite here. It’s dangerous, It’s not safe. 5) Do they know each other? Why?
6).T: Where can he fly the kite? Can you give him some suggestions?(group work) S: He can fly it at the park, on the playground...
T: Good ideas. In a short word, he can do it at an open space. What’s the old lady’s suggestion? S: You can do it at the square in front of the museum.
6).Where is the square?(为了检测学生对于square一词的理解,请学生在主题图中指出square的位置。)Now Maomao can fly the kite at the square in front of the museum happily.

活动二: Role-play and think
活动目标:激发孩子们表演热情,在表演中内化语言,为后续的语言拓展打基础。
活动意图:与学生日常生活经验相结合,让学生讨论总结出在哪里可以放风筝,练思维促表达。 实施方法及预设语言:
T: Let’s do pair work. One is Maomao, the other is Grandma. Please show us your performance. T: What can you learn from this lesson?(group work) S: Where we can fly the kite. We should obey the safety rules... (三)Production
活动一:What signs do you know?
活动目标:学习词组cross the road, walk your dog, pick up flowers,以及其他常见的关于禁止类标识的表达。
活动意图:通过呈现不同地点的禁止标识,语言层面告诉学生禁止类标识不仅可以警示危险,还可以向我们传递日常行为的规则。 实施方法及预设语言:
T: If the old lady was not here, what could remind Maomao of the danger? (Signs.) What does it mean? S:Please don’t fly your kite here.
T:Yes,If there was a sign ,Maomao wouldn’t do this. So signs are very important for us. Do
you want to see more signs?
1) Look! What does it mean? Where can we see it?
S:This sign is in the street. Don’t cross the street. T:We also can say :No crossing the street.
2)How about this one? what does it mean? Where can we see it?
S: S:Don’t pick flowers. It is in the park. Can we say No picking up flowers? T:You are fantastic! We can say Don’t pick flowers in the park. 3)What about this one?
S:It’s also in the park. Don’t walk your dog or No Walking Your Dog. T:Do you find something common about these signs? S:The red- circled signs mean please don’t do something. 4)What else don’t-signs do you know?(group work)
T:You know so much! Fantastic.

活动二:There should be some rules
活动目标:引导学生依据自身的社会经验为不同地点选择禁止类型的标志,并总结适应于公共场合的普适性规则。
活动意图:通过给特定地点制定规则,辅以小组合作的方式总结出哪些规则是适应公共场所的普适性原则,进一步明确遵守公共道德行为的规则意识,从而达到语言操练和思维训练的双重效果。
实施方法及预设语言:小组讨论适用于某场所的signs,并说出signs的含义。 T:We know so many signs here, Can signs speak? S:No,they can’t.
T:But when you see them ,you know what you can’t do. Should we follow the rules? What
will happen if we don’t ? Look at these pictures,If there are no rules,can we have orderly classes ? Can we see a film quietly ? Can animals be healthy?Can we be safe in the street ?No, It will be noisy,messy ,dangerous ,and crazy ,So There Should Be Some Rules.
Let’s do group work Task: 1. Discuss what we can’t do in these public places with the sentence don’t... . 2. Choose and stick the right signs for the place. 3.

Do you like rules? Some say no, rules restrain us, they make us restraint. Look the place that you make rules, It’s more orderly than before. Rules are very important for us. Following them can make everything more orderly, safely, and happily. Following rules make you more free. (四)Homework: make signs for your class.
