Ⅰ Analysis of teaching material and students
The text is Module11Unit2 in junior high English book5, which is pressed by Foreign language study and teaching press. This module mainly talks about a photo competition which is held in Tony’s school, Unit2 is a lesson that trains the students’ skills of reading and writing, if students learn this lesson well, they will learn to describe their favorite photos better. The lesson also helps students to learn attributive clauses with ‘which, who’, which is very important for their English learning. Students have a certain
command of many English words and grammar skills, and they become more familiar with the photo competition after learning the unit1, but they are still weak in reading comprehension and writing. This lesson is about photos, which may raise their interest in learning, I should try to inspire them to think and speak spontaneously and give them more chances to show themselves.

1) Words: tonight, winner, rush, blouse, skirt, present, read out, compared with, even though, more than+adj. be pleased with, protect sth. against sth., congratulations to sb. (on sth.)
2) Sentences:
The person who won the prize for the subject Nature is fifteen-year-old Li Wei. The photo which we liked best in the City and People group was taken by Zhao Min. It is a beautiful girl who is wearing a blouse and skirt, and who is protecting her books against the showers.

1) Students can use the skill of skimming to get the general idea of each paragraph
