一、教材分析
Module 6的主要内容为通过对自己和他人爱好的介绍等活动来学习简单句的基本句型,重点学习have a look, tidy up, as a result, come out等短语的用法。从全书来看,本模块承接下一模块对并列复合句的学习和运用,内容有层次的展开,学生容易接受。
二、 学生分析
八年级的学生已经具备了一定的英语知识及语言运用能力,能够较熟练地运用各种英语简单句的基本句型,通过本课学习,他们可以在老师的指导下,掌握这些句型的特点,加强对不同句型更好的感知,为今后运用语言的意识还有待加强。 三、学习目标
1.知识目标:掌握重点单词: activity, pleasure, success, fan, hobby, interesting,
model, stamp, ticket,
掌握重点词组: tidy up, take up, encourage sb. to do sth., spend---doing---,
develop one’s interests, such as, come out, as a result, bring sb pleasure, have a look
掌握简单句的六种基本句型:
S + V ,
S + V + P S + V + O S + V + IO + O S + V + O + C There be
2.能力目标:能正确判断句子的基本成份; 总结概括简单句的六种基本句型;在小组内能够
利用所学与兴趣相关的词汇和短语以及简单句的六种基本句型,描述自己和他人的兴趣爱好。
3.情感目标:乐于倾听别人的爱好,并积极参加讨论活动,通过与同伴谈论爱好,培养良好兴趣,促进全面发展。 重点及难点:
重点:了解并掌握简单句的基本句型。
难点:咨询他人爱好,在介绍自己和他人的爱好时,正确运用六种基本句型。
4.教师教法:情境教学法;演绎法、任务型教学法,小组合作学习 5.学生学法:任务型学习、个人、pair work、group work 6.教学准备:ppt课件、MP3听力、学生绘制的英语绘本 7. 教学步骤:
Step One Leading in
Let the students do a guessing game. Give the students several letters and ask them to put the letters in correct order.
【设计意图】:创设情境,激发学习的动机,用猜谜的形式引出本课的课题,让学生在轻松愉快的气氛中进入本课的学习。
Step Two Listening practice
Ask the students to listen to the tape to find out what hobbies the boys and girls have. Then answer the following the questions:
Questions: 1.What are the girls’ hobbies? 2.What are the boys’ hobbies?
3. Is there anything that both of them like doing?
【设计意图】: 本活动旨在训练学生从听的材料中提取与兴趣相关信息的能力,从而激发学生对讨论兴趣的积极性。
Step Three Revision
1. Go over the key phrases of unit1 and unit 2 in Module 6 and sum up the structures of the simple sentences.
Key phrases: tidy up, take up, encourage sb. to do sth., spend---doing---, develop one’s interests, such as, come out, as a result, bring sb pleasure, have a look 2. Go over the structures of the simple sentences:
S + V , S + V + P S + V + O S + V + IO + O S + V + O + C There be
3. Finish Exercise 1to go over the simple sentences and sum up the structures. Then give the students six sentences and ask them to analyze the structures. At last help the students say at least six sentences about their hobbies in pair. 【设计意图】:紧紧围绕“爱好”这个话题,复习第一和第二单元学习的重点词组,为学生
进行句子的仿造,提供了丰富了的语言材料;运用“演绎教学法”分析简单句的结构,帮学生巩固和掌握简单句的句式,为学生独自正确运用这些句式,做好准备,同时这也为突破本课的重难点,做好了铺垫。
Step Four Drill
The teacher uses the structures of the simple sentences to describe own hobby in order to help the students use the structures correctly and stir up the students’ enthusiasm to describe their hobbies.
e.g. My hobby is reading. I like reading. In my spare time, I read. My brother bought me a lot of books. Reading can make me clever. There are many interesting facts in books. The teacher describes her own bobby with the six structures then ask the students to say at least six sentences about their hobbies in pairs. 【设计意图】:教师创设情境,用六种简单句句型描述自己的爱好,不但可以对本课的重点
和难点进行突破,强调了目标语操练的重要性,同时激发了学生要叙述自己兴趣和爱好的欲望。教师的示范,提高了学生们在pair work中目标语运用的正确性和准确性,为他们完成后面的模块任务做好了铺垫。
2. Finish Exercise 4. Ask the students to read the passage quickly then fill in blanks with the correct form of the words and expressions in the box.
3. Let the students think back what are in the box. 【设计意图】:本活动重在培养学生的词汇学习策略,通过操练本模块的重点词汇和短语,不但训练了学生的分析和辨别的能力,而且对如何描写个人的兴趣爱好作进一步的了解,为后面的书面表达做好了准备。做完练习帮学生回忆what are in the box?检查学生对练习内容的掌握情况,培养学生注意阅读内容细节的能力。 Step Five Story time
1. Different people have different hobbies. Some hobbies make people relaxed and
happy but some hobbies are exciting, only brave person can do it. Finish Exercise 7. Choose a group of students to read the passage with their picture book and then let the students complete the
notes. Then finish Exercise 7 to check whether the students catch the main points of the passage.

【设计意图】:本部分通过听同学朗读短文和观看同学根据短文绘制的英语绘本的形式,帮准学生从材料中提取具体信息,更好的理解文章的结构。同时在创作本故事的绘本过程中,既培养了学生的思维和创新能力也注重了小组合组能力培养。 Step Six Enjoying an English song
Show the students an English son “Sailing”. 【设计意图】:听与阅读内容航海相关的英文歌曲,这将有助于激发学生学习兴趣并提高学生们听力和口语表达能力,
Step Seven Around the world
Through the teacher’ introduction, the students will know the differences of some hobbies in the past in American and some other countries. It can also help the students think about what they can learn from these hobbies. 【设计意图】:板块介绍的是国外流行的一项业余爱好---亲历历史, 以教师本人亲身体验讲解Around the world,向学生们介绍不同国度的人们兴趣与爱好的变迁,让学生通过学习,增长对国外文化的一些认知和了解, 引导学生正确对待过去的生活,了解过去的文化,吸收传统文化的精髓,弘扬具有民族精神的优秀的传统文化。 Homework:
Finish the passage about one’s hobby and get ready to retell the passage in the next class. 【设计意图】:巩固本课的知识点和重点语法,完善和提高学生的写的能力。 板书设计:

启发学生自己总结本课学习的重点,总结“hobbies”在人们的生活中的重要性。板书设计成一条金鱼的形状,增强趣味性,便于学生牢记。
