Ⅰ.Analysis of the Teaching Material Status and Function
This unit introduces and develops the theme of fashion. In this period, the discussions are based on the theme of knowing different styles of clothes and how to give a fashion show. All the activities in this unit are carried out around it. So this period is very important. It increases the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing by learning this period. In addition to this, such a topic is commonly seen, and it can increase the students’ knowledge of fashion. Students should reinforce their comprehension of this period and improve their other skills by participating in all the activities.
Ⅱ. Analysis of my students
The topic of this unit is “Fashion”. In this “reading” period, we will learn something about fashion. The students will know how to give a fashion show and describe different styles of clothes , their material and features.
The seventh grade students are not good at conclude for some target information And they are not familiar with shorthand skills. So in this teaching period, I will teach students some skills about how to write down the information they need quickly and correctly. Especially focus on the Key words in the sentences.
Ⅲ. Teaching Aims and Demands 1. knowledge objects
1. read the article about the fashion show fluently;
2. find out detailed information about the host and models by reading carefully;
3. guess the meanings of specific words from the context;

1.words : 1. New words and phrases: lady, gentleman, style, trainer, comfortable, popular, among, purple, grey, smart, cool, cotton, scarf, both, jeans, silk, wool, boot
different styles of clothes, both … and…, be made of, sports clothes Some useful expressions when we give a fashion show: Trainers are popular among young people. Here comes Simon. He looks smart.
Both of them are wearing blue jeans. That’s all for today’s fashion show. Thanks for coming.
