Part 1 Teaching material analysis
This period is from Unit6 Food and lifestyle Task of 7A . I’d like to talk about my understanding about this lesson. This lesson is to practice writing an article about one’s own lifestyle. I will divide it into three parts.(Part one is learning more about different kinds of food. Part two is learning about three students’ lifestyles and how to write them .Part three is writing an article about one’s own lifestyle.)This lesson plays an important role in the whole teaching material, so it’s very important for students to learn it well.
Part 2 Teaching aims
1.Aims of the knowledge:
(1)To learn more about different kinds of food.
(2)To learn about three students’ lifestyles and how to write them. (3)To learn how to write an article about one’s own lifestyle. 2.Aims of the abilities:
(1)To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2)To practice the students’ abilities of working in pairs. (3)To develop the students’ abilities of cooperation. 3.Aims of the emotion:
(1)To train students good qualities like a healthy attitude, confidence and cooperation. (2)To cultivate students’ interest in learning English.
Part 3 Teaching emphasis
(1)To learn about three students’ lifestyles and how to write them. (2)To learn how to write an article about one’s own lifestyle.
Part 4 Teaching difficulties
1.To learn how to write an article about one’s own lifestyle. 2.To get the ability of cooperation.
Part 5 Teaching methods
1. Communicative teaching method 2. Audio-visual teaching method 3. Task-based teaching method
Part 6 Teaching aids
Multi-media computer, flashes, PowerPoint and so on. They will be needed in this lesson.

Step 1 Lead-in
1. Show a video about unhealthy eating 2. Have a guess
Purpose: To learn review different kinds of food. Step 2 Go shopping
Purpose: To learn about six Areas that food is divided into in a supermarket. Step 3 Play a game called Brainstorming Please watch and remember as many as students can. Step 4 Eddie needs help!
Purpose: By using it, let students know the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Part Two (Who has a healthy lifestyle?)
Step 1 Kitty’s lifestyle Step 2 Daniel’s lifestyle Step 3 Simon’s lifestyle
1.Listen to the tape and complete his article. 2.Some important points. 3.Writing Structure.
Purpose: By learning three students’ articles a, let students know how to write his own lifestyle.
Part Three ( My lifestyle)
Step 1 Pair Work Purpose: To make a survey. Step 2 Finish the table Step 3 Attention
Purpose: To show some tips and useful expressions. Step 4 Sample writing: My lifestyle
Purpose: To give students an example before writing. Step 5 Enjoy your own writing Step 6 Show time
Ask some students to read letters in front of the whole class. Step 7 Homework 1.Finish the rest exercises.
2.Look for more information about healthy lifestyles on the Internet or in the library. 3.Write a passage about your friend’s lifestyle.
