In this lesson, students learn to talk about different shops and how to do the shopping. The topic is meaningful, useful and practical to students. It can help students improve their skills of daily communication and express their own opinions in their daily life. It helps to train students’ speaking ability and integrated skills.
Teaching Aims and Demands:
Knowledge Objects
1. Students learn the names of different shops and know where to buy different things.
2. Students can express their own opinions using the target
language.
3. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know how to do the shopping.
Ability objects 1. Students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills can be trained and improved when they complete their
tasks by using the target language.
2. Students can improve skills of daily communication and know exactly the way to shop.
Moral Object After learning this lesson, students can know the importance
of money and treat money correctly. They can also be taught
to use money wisely.
Language focus and difficult points:
1. To train students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills by designing activities to let students know how to do the shopping. 2. To train students’ communicative competence.
3. To teach students how to express their own opinions freely.

Warm-up and
presentation (6 minutes)
1.
Play a song or make a puzzle to rouse the students’ interest in shopping.
2.
Carry out a brainstorm to let students think of the items about shopping.
3. Teach students the new words about shopping.
用歌曲或是拼图的形式来激发学生对于购物的兴趣。
让学生集思广益有关购物的词汇,借此来教学生关于本课的新单词。
Comic strip (10 minutes)
1.
Ask if dogs can shop and then watch a video.
2.
Play the video of Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue and ask who likes shopping.
3.
Listen to the dialogue and then let students answer the questions about their dialogue. 4. Read the dialogue.
5.
Let students complete a passage about their dialogue.
6.
Let students act out the dialogue after preparing.
设问是否狗和人一样也会购物,然后通过观看一则狗购物的视频来引起学生对于对话的兴趣。
通过看视频、听录音、回答问题、完成练习和对材料表演的方式来学习Comic strip部分。 Presentation (6 minutes)
1. Suppose Hobo has a lot to buy and
he has a shopping list. Let students guess where to buy the things.
2. Teach students different shops.
3. Let students write down the names of the shops in their book. Take photos of their answers and check the answers.
4. Finish the exercises.
通过假设,让学生学习不同的商店的名字。
在学生完成练习后,老师用iPad对他们的答案拍照,然后展示学生答案来进行校对。

differences between the two pictures.
2. Listen to the dialogue and let

利用“找不同”的游戏来推动学生获取知识的动力,并教授新的单词。
让学生在教完对话后生成新的对话,可以更好地培养学生口语的输出,以便更好地促进日常交流能力。
Discussion (4 minutes)
1. Watch a video about shopping
online.
2. Let students vote for their favourite
way of shopping.
3. Let students discuss the reasons
why they like that way to shop. 用视频来引出传统购物和网上购物的投票,用先进的教学系统进行现场投票,更好地促进了学生学习的兴趣,为两者优缺点的讨论展开了铺垫,展现“智慧课堂”的风采。 Group work (7 minutes)
1. Suppose the students should buy
their friends some presents. Let students finish a task in groups. Students should search for the presents online, and then work together to finish a report.
2. The teacher will take photos of the
students’ reports and invite students show their reports.
小组活动能有效地调动学生积极性,以完成任务为目的,培养学生的合作能力和自主学习能力。最后通过“拍照”来进行学生作品的展示,更是体现了“智慧课堂”的实用性、智慧性和便利性。
