Ⅰ.Warm up (2 minutes) Sing a song “Do you like candies?” T: Do you like candies, candies? S1:Yes, I do.
T: Does S1 like candies? Ss: Yes, she does.
T: Do you like snakes, snakes? S2:No, I don’t. T: Does S2 like snakes? Ss: No, he doesn't. Ss: Do you like meat, meat? Cat is being silent.
T: Can you help me, my dear friends?( Let the students help answer.) Does the cat like meat? Let’s watch the video and answer the question on the screen. Ss watch the video and answer the question.
Ⅱ. Lead in (2 minutes)
T: S1, Do you go to school on Saturdays? S1: No, I don’t.
T: Does S1 go to school on Saturdays? My dear friends? Ss: No, he doesn’t.
T: Does your mum go to work on Satudays? S1: Yes, she does.
T: How about Amy’s mum and dad?
Ⅲ. Presentation (6 minutes)
T: show the pictures of Amy’s mother and father in PPT. to the students and ask: how about

Amy’s mum and dad? Please watch the video and answer two questions below at the first time: 1. Does Amy’s mum go to work on Saturdays? 2. Does Amy’s dad go to work on Saturdays?
Ss: answer the two questions above as a whole after watching the video at the first time. T: Now another two more questions for you to answer after you watch the video at the second time:

Ss: answer the two questions above as a whole after watching the video at the second time. T: You are amazing! Let’s listen again and repeat . Ss: read the text following the video confidently.
Ⅳ. Practice(15 minutes)
Part 1: Whole class activity( Oral speaking conversations ) (5 minutes)
T: My dear friends, Do you want to know how many mums go to work on Saturdays? Let's do a quick research. When I point at S1, you are pleased to ask 'S1, Does your mum go to work on Saturdays?' And S1, you just need to answer according to the reality like, Yes, she does. or No, she doesn't.
Ss. keep asking the question sentence structure ' Does 's mum go to work on Saturdays? and the student who is asked needs to answer.
T. So now we know some of the mums go to work on Saturdays but some mums do not , and what do they do? Do you know why they go to work on Saturday? Let's know more about our big family following these four rotational activities.
Part 2: Rotation activities (10 minutes)
(Teacher will demonstrate four rotational activities in advance and make sure every student knows what to do and how to do. During the activities, Team monitor controls and helps the other team members if they need. Teacher goes around the class to make sure all the students are involved and enjoy it.)

1. Reading and writing task:Students are to finish reading the story of John’s family and finish the worksheet independently and quietly. After reading, students will answer the questions which are all related to the knowledge points in this unit like the key sentence structure: Does John's wife go to work on Saturdays? What does John's wife do on Saturdays? It's a good way to show students' actual understanding of learning.
2. Speaking and listening task: Students are to finish the questionnaires independently and in a whisper. The questions listed in the questionnaire are all about key words and sentences they need to master like Does your monitor go to school on Saturdays? Does your monitor's mum go to work on Saturdays? Why do your parents need to go to work on Saturdays? It's a good way to let students put what they learned and mastered into use in daily life. Practice makes perfect.
3. Making a love card: Students are to make a special card for their family to show their thanks for what mums and dads have done for them independently and quietly. Students should convey the words they really want to tell for parents, and what they can do to show love. One student will finish one card with the colourful pens, papers.
4. Finishing a grammar worksheet: Students are to finish a grammar worksheet with the key phrases and sentences by matching and drawing. Students are required to finish it independently and quietly.
Part 3: Show time (5 minutes)
(Teacher express ‘I am so proud of you all!’ show each team’s achievement in from of the class. And let the students be little teachers and say ‘You did a good job.’ with their rising thumbs.)
T: Read team, did you finish it?
Read team: Yes, we did. Show everyone in class.
The rest students: You did a good job.’ with their rising thumbs.
Ⅴ. Summary and Moral education( 情感教育) (4 minutes)

T: My dear class, after the lesson, we learnt that some parents go to work on Saturdays, right? Do you know why our dads and mums still need to go to work on Saturdays?
Option A: They go to work on Saturdays just for fun.
Option B: They go to work on Saturdays just because they love us. We need money to buy things to live well.
T: Which one do you think is correct?
Ss: B. They go to work on Saturdays just because they love us. We need money to buy things to live well.
T: So what can we do to love to them? Who can share your opinion with us? S1. We can study hard to show love to our parents. S2. We can help do housework to show love to our parents.
T: MY dear friends Let’ try our best to love our parents, ok? If you can do it, just follow me: I will try my best to love my dad and mum. Ss: Follow teacher as a whole.
Ⅵ.Homework (1 minutes)
Make a poster of your family members ‘Saturday’s activity.
