活动1【导入】Warm-up and revision
1. Greetings
T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!
Ss: Good afternoon, Miss Wu.
T: How are you today?
Ss: I’m fine, thank you! And you?
T: I’m fine too .It’s a beautiful day today. Let’s sing a song first.
2. Sing a song “Look up at the spaceship”.

活动2【导入】Presentation
1 .A simple introduction about Helen Keller.
2. Watch the VCD about the text.
3. Listen to the tape and try to understand the meaning.
4. Listen and choose.
5. Teach the new words: born, as, became, letter, herself, lived, role model.
Teacher teach students to read, and try to get them understand the meaning by making sentences and creating a scene.
Take the word “born” for example, teacher says “I was born in 1985.When were you born?”And then gets students to think and answer it.
Take another word “letter” for example. Teacher explains to the students that the word “as” has got two letters , they are letter “A” and letter “S”. At the same time, teacher draws same letter in one student’s hand.
6. Listen to the tape again and read after the tape.
活动3【练习】Practice and consolidation

2. Answer the questions
⑴Where was Helen Keller from?
⑵Could Helen see or hear?
⑶Could Helen read?
⑷How old did Helen lived to be?
At the same time, I teach the key sentence “She couldn’t see or hear”here and practice it.
3. Retell the story of Helen Keller
4 .Group work--- Read and talk
There are four students in a group. Each group has got a passage about a role model. They have to work together. First, they have to find out the answers to the questions. And then they have to talk about the role model in their groups. At last they can introduce the role model before the class.
Teacher act as a guider here, she guides students how to work, and makes a conclusion at the end of the activity.

1. Writing
Use at least five sentences to introduce the role model “Shi Tiesheng”.
2. Enjoy the poem “Smile to your life”.

本节课教学任务基本完成,学习气氛很好。我运用了情境教学法,任务教学法来组织课堂活动,从复习,导入和新课授教,巩固延伸,环环相扣,不仅很好地渗透和突破了重难点,也达到了因材施教的效果。本节课是阅读课,我给学生设置了阅读前任务和阅读后任务,并且开展了阅读并作小报告的活动,很好地调动了学生的情绪和积极性。此外,在本节课中我注重引导学生开展探究活动。不足之处主要是活动安排有点多,时间安排有点紧迫,可能会导致个别活动的完成效果造成影响。
