Teaching Plan and Design
(2018-3) 〖Background〗In the past year our school has been carrying out the teaching reform, which advocates a more effective teaching strategy, this is, return the time to Ss, teach them the methods. This is easier said than done. But we teachers have been trying to achieve it, for it has a profound meaning on their lifelong learning.
I have been ready to begin this representation with five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching objectives, the important and difficult points, the studying methods, and the teaching procedure. Part 1 Text Analysis
The content of my lesson is Unit 3, New Senior English for China Student’s Book 11. This unit is about Finding the correct perspective. By studying of this unit, we’ll enable students to review different forms of emphasis,especially the structure of emphatic sentences. Grammar teaching can be very boring, how to combine grammar rules with entertainment is one of my teaching objectives. At the same time, help the students to set up the confidence in helping others. The input has great effect on output. Therefore, grammar rules combined with moral education can be both achieved. Part 2 Teaching Objectives
According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), and after studying the teaching material, the teaching objectives for this period are the followings:

1.Knowledge objects (语言目标)
Get Ss to apply the emphatic sentence in various situations. 2.Ability objects (技能目标)
To train the Ss’ abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating . 3.Emotion or moral objects (情感目标)
(1)Ss enjoy the pleasure of helping others and set up their confidence. (2)Teach the Ss to be a kind man, put the moral education in the language study.
Part 3 the Important and Difficult Points Based on the sentence pattern of the structure, The important points are the various transformations. The difficult points are how to apply it in complex sentences. Part 4 Teaching Methods
As is known to us all, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help Ss develop good sense of English language. To achieve the teaching objectives, I adopt the following methods according to the modern social communication teaching theories(现代社会交际教学理论) . 1. Task-based Language Teaching (任务教学法)
2. Total Situational Action (情景教学) a “activity —scene” teaching method , it establishes a real scene and the interaction between the Ss. At the same time, the performance can provide a real situation with its sound and image, it can both entertain the class and develop the Ss creativity in learning English.

Part 5 Teaching Procedure Step 1. Lead-in. (_2_min)
My lesson begins with a song called The Rose. It’s coincident that this song contains the structure of emphatic sentence. Purpose of my design:
(1) to catch Ss’ attention about the topic (2) To set up a warm and lovely atmosphere. Step 2. Teaching Design
Inspired by the rose , we make the following plan. Task 1.Recall –review three sentences we have learned before Task 2.Observe the structure
Task 3.Summarize the sentence pattern
Task 4.Exercise to check whether they have mastered Purpose of my design:
(1) to help Ss recall and summarize the sentence pattern. Step 3. Group Discussion
Group work, 10 min, Ss will co-operate with other group members to discuss the various problems they may encounter in their study and acquire certain skills such as concluding. Purpose of my design:
Enable students to master the usage of the pattern better in various situations, which frequently appear in the papers. Discuss proper answers with other group members and then choose a reporter to share their opinions . And

proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning. “Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be trained as well. Step 4. Consolidation and Emotion input
Task 1. Ask Ss to act out the scene according to the picture, trying to use the structure as possible as they can. Task 2. Emotion input
Vote on whether we should get him up when the old falls down.
Tell Ss: Most of the time we intend to help, only to find ourselves getting involved in trouble. What should we do? Do as the rose tells you, Man’s nature is good, everyone has good nature. Whenever and wherever and whatever , please reach out our helping hand, Let’s try together ,OK? Purpose of my design: I think If the Ss can finish this task well, they will benefit a lot both in language learning and moral purification as well as emotional sublimation. Step 5. Homework
Watch the film “ The White Storm” and complete the after-class exercises. Purpose of my design: It can appeal to Ss a lot and at the same time will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims.
〖结语〗本节课是一节语法复习课, 巧妙地是以一支玫瑰花作为线索贯穿整节课,玫瑰代表的是爱, 在复习语法强调句型时,结合高考考点联系生活日常进行情感的渗透,这无疑是一次大胆的创新与实践!
