教学目标：1. 知识目标
1)掌握文章中的新单词：its, form, clay, celebration, balloon, paper cutting, scissors, lively, fairy, historical , heat, polish, complete
2)掌握文章中的句型： They are made of bamboo and covered with paper. ② According to Chinese history, sky lanterns were first used by Zhuge Kongming. ③ They are seen as bright symbols of happiness and good wishes. ④ After drying, they are fired at a very high heat. 3）学会使用被动语态。
2.能力目标
通过对本文的阅读，培养学生阅读能力，训练学生的阅读
策略，让学生了解文章结构的特点之一-----先总体介绍，后细节描述。
3.情感态度价值观
本文着重介绍最具中国特色的传统艺术如孔明灯、剪纸艺
术和陶瓷艺术的制作工艺、制作原料和象征意义。通过学习，拓展了学生的知识面和提升了民族自豪感，对学生跨文化交际中所需的文化敏感也有潜移默化的作用。
学情分析: 本单元的重难点是被动语态，在前几课时的学习前提下，
学生基本掌握了语法知识，如果独立完成本课的某些任务，有一定的难度，同过小组合作可以分解难度。
重难点：了解传统的孔明灯、剪纸艺术和陶瓷艺术的制作，进而掌握
被动语态
教学过程：
Step 1: Lead in (导入)：
1．读前讨论活动。 Teacher:Talk about folk or traditional arts. How many folk or traditional arts do you know? Can you give some examples?
2．Ask \ the students to watch a Video.

Video?
Ss answer: Face-Changing in Sichuan Opera , Chinese knot,
sky lanterns, paper cutting and Chinese clay art.(出示3张幻灯片)
