一、教学目标： 1. 知识目标：
1) 学习掌握下列词汇：scissors, paper cutting, form, balloon, heat, lively ；
2) 学习掌握下列短语：be turned into…, be used by…, send out, such as, covered with, rise into, put…on…；
3) 学习掌握下列句型：Sth can be turned into sth else. sth is/are made by/in/of…； 4）了解与中国传统文化艺术有关的风俗习惯和文化背景，如孔明灯、剪纸等。
2. 能力目标：
1）了解常见的文章结构特点——先总体介绍，后细节描述。并运用于写作中； 2）引导学生用英语正确表达中国的传统艺术和相关名称，进一步巩固本单元的目标语言

3. 情感态度价值观目标：
拓宽学生的知识面和提升民族自豪感，对学生跨文化交际意识和能力的培养进行潜移默化的教育。
二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点：
1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组，达到熟练运用一般现在时被动语态的目标。 2) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息。通过阅读活动，明确“A general introduction is usually followed by specific details and examples”阅读策略。
