Ⅰ. Material analysis
本单元教学内容主要围绕旅游和交通方面的话题展开。Topic1主要让学生学习如何用英语谈论旅游,如何用英语预订车票、房间,如何为旅游筹集资金、制订出行计划等。动词不定式是本话题的重点语法项目。本节课为该话题的第一节课,主要活动为Section A 的1a和3。让学生掌握旅游地点、交通方式和所需费用等常识,掌握黑体单词和短语field, proper,total, go on a visit to … 和decide on…, 理解白体词汇mount, vehicle, airline和partner, 掌握动词不定式的用法,同时教育学生要学会制订计划;培养学生热爱旅游、积极探索的态度。 Ⅱ. Step 2 Presentation
1. Before going there, we need to prepare for it. It's a little far, so we need to choose proper vehicles. The teacher shows different traveling ways and asks students to discuss the best way to travel. Finish 1b. Using the following sentences to ask and answer in pairs.
A: How much does it cost to get to ... by ...? B: It costs ....
A: How long does it take to go there by ...? B: It takes ...
A: The best way to get there is by ... because … B: I think so. / …
2. After discussing, ask several students to report like below: A: We decide to go there by ... because... B: The best way to get there is by ... because … C: We’ll choose ... to get there, because… D: …
3. Listen to 1a, and mark T or F. If it is wrong, please correct it.

Step 3 Consolidation
1. Show some proverbs with infinitives and let students guess their meanings. And then lead to the structure of Infinitives.
2. Let students read 1a, and ask students to find out the sentences with infinitives. And then analyze their sentence elements. 3. Read 1a in roles, and then act it out. Step 4 Practice
