教学内容分析: B8U3Reading1是以记叙文的方式讲述捕蛇的发明创造,结构清晰,适合
阅读。
学生情况分析: 学生掌握一定的阅读技巧,如 skimming和scanning,结合高考题型练习检
测学习效果,并通过一定的输入,能进行一定的输出,但语言表达和书面表达能力还欠缺。
教学重难点分析 1.Skimming,Scanning and Grammar completion;2. Doing a report according
to their discussion in class and write a letter as homework.
教学过程设计 Step I:Warming up
Translate 3 questions into English first and watch a small video about a new invention and then answer the questions.
设计意图:模仿听说考试中的Part B role play, 引出话题。
Step II:Pre-reading
Prediction: By a picture of snake and 3 pictures of reading, students predict what would happen and how the girl caught snakes in the reading.
设计意图:为开始阅读做好准备。
Step III:While-reading
Task1: Skimming---Read the passage and choose the main idea.
Task2: Write down the relavent paragraphs according to the 6 scientific
stages.
Task3: Scanning--- Fill in blanks. Task4: Grammar completion
设计意图:将文章内容以速读和寻读方式让学生彻底了解文章内容,并把文章再设计为语法填空的形式检测学生对语言知识的掌握程度。
Step IV:Post-reading
Design your own invention: Your friend Mary has a problem recently. His pet mouse has escaped from cage and made a lot of troubles. Have a discussion with your partner to design a new way to catch it without hurting it in the form of report.
设计意图:阅读了捕蛇的发明后,学生设计捉鼠的发明,课堂上讨论并以报告的形式说出自己的发明设计达到输出的目的。
Step V:Homework
write a letter to Tom about how to trap the mouse pet according to your discussion.
设计意图:把课堂上的讨论以书信的方式写下来,达到读与写的结合。
