教学目标:
1. 知识与技能:听懂有关抽烟、吸毒及其危害的话语并获取信息,学会抓住关键意思进行summarizing;谈论有关吸烟和吸毒危害的话题和劝阻、帮助别人戒烟的话题。
2. 过程与方法:理解含有所学生词、词组的句子和段落并获取信息;理解有关抽烟、吸毒及其危害的材料并获取信息;找出段落和文章的从属关系;用语调表达语气和情感;自如表达抽烟、吸毒的危害。
3. 情感、态度、价值观:提高自我保护意识,养成良好生活习惯,远离毒品;吸烟造成环境污染,发现抽烟者在公共场所抽烟,要学会劝说;关爱社会,关爱他人,热情参与社会公益活动,帮助沾染坏习惯的弱势人群。 学情分析:
高一学生,有一定的语言功底,且乐于表达他们的思想。 重难点: 学习语法,培养对因果关系的判断和分析能力;通过听和读培养抓住和辨别信息要点的能力;通过从属关系的判断,培养前后联系、部分和整体联系的思维能力;通过说和写的训练,培养根据事实分析、归纳的逻辑能力和表达能力。 教学步骤:
Step 1: Warming up---Review the words
There are three activities in this part to help students review the words they have learned in this module.
Activity 1: Match the words with their meanings.
Activity 2: Guess the words based on the explanation. Activity 3: Fill in the blanks.

Discuss the reasons why people smoke and the bad effects smoking brings to people. Step 3: Fast reading---Listen to the passage and then answer the question: What’s the passage about?
It’s about advice given to people on how to give up smoking. Step 4: Detailed reading
Read the passage aloud and try to find the answers to the two questions: 1. What are the four Ds? 2. What are the suggestions mentioned in this passage to help people give up smoking?
