1.Main idea
The conversation is about two girls talking about animals in danger and what to do to protect them.
2. The function of this text.
The first lesson of Unit1.It focuses on speaking and listening skills, reasons of animal in danger and the ways to protect animals. 3.Words
Before class, students did a dictation on the website; there are some words they can’t spell right. so “danger”, “neck”, “protect”, “giraffe” will be the important words to be taught again to consolidate the words. 4. Emotional states
Enhance the sense of protecting environment and animals.
Learners’ analysis
The students are from Grade 2 in junior high school 1.Linguistic achievement
Students need to master the words they can’t spell right and key phrases to talk about the given topics. 2.Background knowledge
Students had learnt some animals before. 3.Effective states
Students in Grade8 are more sensitive, they will be easily touching by the topic.
