教学设计(包含目标引领—学思静悟---精讲点拨—目标达成---交流合作)主要以活动贯穿整节课,来完成本节课的教学目标。
Activity 1. Watch and talk
S1. What kind of challenges are we humans fighting against according to the video? ____________________________________________________________
S2. If we humans want to fight for victory, what kind of boundaries should we break?

(活动一:观看视频并且说的活动导入,以新冠肺炎为主题的视频搭配两个问题引入话题,让学生了解人类现在正在面临的抗击新冠的挑战,并且引发相关的话题breaking boundaries的思考,进而引起学生兴趣的同时,为课本结尾的共建人类命运共同体的目标达成首尾呼应。)
Activity 2. Predict and find
What do you think will be talked about in the passage?

(活动二:预测和寻找信息活动。读前让学生通过文本图片预测课文内容,教师提示导入视频与所学文本是类似故事,进而引导学生去寻找文本打破了什么样的boundaries来进入文本的阅读。)

(活动四:细读活动。先细读前两段,通过设计“为什么今天比较特殊”和“为什么作者会去利比亚”,让学生加深了解故事情节和人物情况。初步提到日志组成部分中的事件(event) 。再引导学生细读第三段到第六段,完成表格题目,帮助学生了解日志的事件和作者情感和感受,让学生会用形容词表达人物感受,激发学生兴趣,当然此题目有一定的难度。最后一段仍然以问题形式,让学生了解日志或者说是作者的目标。 在此活动中,设计各种题目,让学生不断与文本互动,去感受文本,体验作者的奉献精神和责任心,去接触人类命运共同体,让学生有所得,有所感。)

(活动五:思考分享活动。通过对这些问题思考、讨论、分析、成文和分析,让学生能更深层次的思考故事背后的情感,提高学生基础的语言能力的同时,同时提升学生分析问题的学习能力和合作精神,有利于对学生国际文化意识的培养的同时,提升解决问题,面临挑战的坚强意志。)

(活动六:讨论和书写活动。通过小组讨论,让每个小组只负责写下日志的一个作用然后分享,让学生了解日志体及其作用,最重要的是希望通过此环节培养学生在平时生活中养成记日志的好习惯。)
Activity 7. Discuss and present
1. Discuss in groups, and make a list of boundaries in society.
2. Choose one of the boundaries you have listed and talk about how to break it.
  (Your presentation can be a speech or an interview.)
3. Share your experiences or stories of breaking boundaries with the class.(when, 
  where, what,why, how…).
(活动七:讨论和展示活动。通过小组讨论,让学生用自己喜欢的任何形式展示他们自己对boundaries的理解。通过和文本不断地互动,让学生用理论指导实践,真正理解单元话题“打破边界”,让学生享受享受英语课程的过程,感受语言的美好,真正体验到学习成功的体验,打破边界后人际关系的和谐,社会的美好。)
