5.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step one: Lead in
Students’ activities:  
Watch a video and answer the teacher’s questions which city it is. Whether you like Hong Kong or not. Look at pictures on screen.
 
Teacher’s activities: 
Play a video clip of Hong Kong. Show the questions: Guess which city is it? Do you like Hong Kong? Why? And Show the pictures of some places in Hong Kong.
 
Purpose of design: 
To arouse students’ interest and lead them  to get into the topic about Hong Kong.
活动2【讲授】Step two: Listening
Students’ activities: 
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.
 
Teacher’s activities: 
Play a tape of a passage
 
Purpose of design: 
To let the students get the general idea of the text
活动3【讲授】Step three: Reading comprehension
Students’ activities: 
Read the text in detail and finish the blanks filling exercise in a sheet, then check the answers ,after that , try to design questions according to the text and ask classmates to answer them 
 
Teacher’s activities:
Let the students fill in the blanks and then check the answers with students. After that, ask students to design questions and ask their classmates.
 
Purpose of design: 
To make students’ get familiar with the details of the text and train their intensive ability of reading
活动4【活动】Step four: Discussion
Students’ activities:
First choose an envelope that contains some pictures and key words of different places in a city. Then discuss with group members a few minutes.Finally representatives from each group come to the stage to sell their products
 
Teacher’s activities: 
Divide the whole class into six groups. Each group represents a travel agency. They should try their best to sell their travel products. At last, the group which wins the most support is winner. First let one student from each group choose an envelope that contains some pictures and key words of different places in a city. Then ask students to discuss a few minutes. Finally let representatives from each group come to the stage to sell their products.
 
Purpose of design: 
1) To let students know how to introduce places and strengthen cooperation among classmates.
2)To make a preparation for writing a travel plan
活动5【练习】Step five:Exercise
Students’ activities:
Finish the text paper
 
Teacher’s activities:
Hand out the text paper and check the answers next class
 
Purpose of design:
To check the students whether they master key words, phrases or not

2) Write a travel plan

Show a PPT about homework
