教材分析 问路是很贴近学生生活的一个话题。本模块第一单元选取了一篇一位游客在北京问路的语篇,让学生学会问路以及指路的表达方式。
学情分析 六年级学生已经有英语学习经验,学生们已经能进行简单的口语表达,他们有一定的英语学习兴趣,能够积极地参与到英语课堂中来。

1.从听力训练的过程中总结新的表达方式

1. Organize a free talk:
(1) Do you like traveling?
(2) Where have you been? 
2. Show my plan to travel to Beijing and ask students to help me finish my travel.
Answer the teacher’s questions. The purpose of this step is to
introduce today’s topic and arouse Ss’ interest in learning this lesson.
Step 2
Before travel
 
Show some pictures of famous places in Beijing and some useful places during travel. Ask Ss to say them out. Say the words out and read them aloud. The purpose is to help Ss understand the meanings of new words. After that, it will be easier to learn the rest.

During travel
Task 1:
Show several signs and ask students: Do you know the sign?
Watch the flash and then answer questions. The purpose is to help students learn the expressions of positions. After that, it will be easier to learn the expressions of giving directions.
Task 2:
 First, ask Ss to listen to the recording and label the places. Second, ask them to listen again and ask them: How do you know the answers?

Task 3:
Show the flash of a girl’s walking routine to Ss and ask them to give directions.

Task 4:
Ask Ss to listen to the recording and answer questions.
(1) How will the tourist get to Wangfujing Dajie from Tian’anmen Square?

Listen to the recording and fill in blanks on the handout. It’s designed to learn more expressions of giving directions by themselves to train their listening.
Task 5:
Show a video and ask students to pay attention to new words.
Ask students to read the passage in groups and find out the sentences for asking for directions.

Task 6:
Ask Ss to make a dialogue. Tell them the rules. Four students in a group design a trip to Beijing. Two students get to the places with the other two students' help by using the new expressions.
Make a dialogue and practice in groups. Then act in front of the class. The purpose of my designing is to help students learn English by using and speaking.
Step 4
After travel
 
Lead Ss to conclude what we have learnt. Thank Ss for helping me and wish them to develop the sense of helping others. Summarize. Its designed to summarize and increase emotion.
Step 5
Homework
Ask Ss to work in pairs to draw a map of Daqing. One student asks for directions and the other one gives direction.
